Female Musicians…Guitarists Indeed…!!!!
Posted by Jacki Hopper on 26/08/2020 at 18:48I thought I’d focus specifically on the topic of female musicians, and thought guitarists would be a good seguay to start with and made sense to delve into the past, away back when and thus came upon this interesting link, and was impressed, and some interesting history, that I was not aware of, but I have however had heard of Sister Rosetta Tharpe…
Enjoy learning your new thing for today, you’re welcome !!!!?

A good one, Jacki,  Especially with the Blues. I will look at this tomorrow. I feel there is A women Invasion going on now as we speak. A lot of good talent out there.

Great topic Jacki. Here is an interesting analysis by Rick Beato of Joni Mitchell’s guitar technique, song writing and musicianship. Rick describes her music as hauntingly beautiful, a brilliant artist, singer song writer, poet, painter , a legend of all time, and explains why.

Hi Joe, what’s that interesting instrument that looks like a cross between a guitar and keyboard? I’ve never seen that before. Their music is very bluesy.
edited to add, in reference to Larkin Poe

Hey Jung,
Megan is playing a Lap Steel Guitar. It’s a Rickenbacker. She plays a mean slide on it.
Her sister Rebecca just the fender in this song. They do play the Blues, and Southern Rock.
Bed time for me.
