    Mona and Lisa ,

    On thing I have noticed thru out your career and that is how you both play off each other either vocally or with your instruments. By this I mean how well you both do this, and the song flows perfectly. So when Mona does the Harp, wow Lisa keeps it going and Mona jumps back in and not miss a beat. So this is a sign of true professional craft. So question for you both is, is this due to the time you both spend together? Being twins? Just curious and believe me this is a huge plus with you both do, it makes the song so much better and sound so good. Just want to say how much your music is a part of my life, thank you and please keep it coming and as always Stay Groovy!

    Thanks Bill!!!
    I’m glad that’s what you think. I believe the sort of “synchronicity” you mean comes from all the things you mentioned. Us being twins, playing together and knowing each other for such a long time.

    We’ve been growing, changing and developing as musicians (and people) together for such a long time and pretty much know each other’s ins and outs to a T. It helps a lot when it comes to actually sitting down and making music together, I believe. I don’t think it’s everything or that you can’t make amazing music with people you don’t know as well but it speeds up the progress and allows us to be honest and smarter about the artistic decisions we make.
    It’s good to have a (music) buddy with you through thick and thin 🙂
    Thanks for letting our music be part of your life ♥

    I agree with you Bill! In many of their videos you can see them connecting with each other! There’s a video on the Youtube of the two of them singing “For what it’s worth” where their eyes meet and the connection is very strong and it gives me chills every time! Pure sisterly love!

    Michael

    So true and that Video of them playing that song live? Wow how great it is to watch them both jam their hearts out and have fun and smiling at each other, it gives you such a good feeling knowing this is coming from their heart and soul and not just singing to get by.

    Lisa thank you for reaching out to me and yes your music is a huge part of my life each day, no lie I can not call it a day if I do not hear or watch a video.

    Hi guys.  I thought it was just me.  I have noticed this “glance”.  In a couple of the WOTT videos, and live radio interviews there is this look the girls give each other right before they break into song.  They did it in that clip when they were rehearsing for the Mike Masse gig.

    I suppose most duo’s have one, but with Lisa and Mona, it’s magic.  I can’t decide if it’s a telepathic “and a one, and a two” or a twinpathic pitch pipe.

    It is twintastic!

    No matter who is doing the lead singing or lead what ever? They both play off each other so well and the music just flows so wonderful. And when it comes to rocking out? Revolution, The Last Time, For What its Worth just to name a few? Wow the energy is fantastic. Can you imagine seeing them in concert? I will be honest…I will be jumping out of my skin with such happiness and joy.

    Agree Jacki,

    And when they end a song? It is amazing to me, they end together and not one playing an extra note, just fun to watch. These ladies have it together for sure and they keep getting better all the time! Got to admit it is getting better all the time….Sorry had to throw that in.

    Hi all;

    My two cents…….it happens a good bit with artists who know and play against each other…..Stephen Stills and Neil Young, Bernie Leadon and Joe Walsh, Keith Richards and Mick Taylor, etc.  I am not in or close to any of the above’s class or in the MLT class, but I had a guitar buddy and we would play off of each other often.  He would do something and look over at me as if to say, “OK, now what are you going to do about that!!”.  And I would answer him on my playing……before long it turns into a jam session.  More recently I have done it with a piano player.  It is fun to do and keeps us on our toes and leads to music that we didn’t think was possible.  Mike.

    I also notice that when one of them is singing or doing a lead? The other one drives the song and keeps the flow going strong as ever. For example You Cant do that, just look at how Lisa is supporting Mona and when Mona goes into The lead guitar Lisa keeps it going and keeps it going so no drop off of energy here just great music. It is a joy to watch them both sing and play these songs, it is awesome.
