I just think it’s ready for some great harmony.
Maybe have the contralto come in on the 2nd verse. Or reverse it.

I can’t find any video where Donovan has been with his fellow Scot – Dougie Maclean.
Dougie is The Lord of Celtic folk. His song Feel So Near is the same theme as Isle of Islay.
His most iconic song Caledonia is practically the Nat’l anthem of Scotland.
My favorite is Ready-for-the Storm
In normal times he tours the U.K. pretty well.

There is something so solemn and calming about Celtic folk music. Thanks for sharing and for the song suggestions. We’ll add them to our long list of potential cover songs 🙂
At the moment we’re putting all our attention to our original music so we probably won’t be recording more covers for a while (we still have plenty of them prepared to share in the weeks and months ahead).We have a soft spot for Donovan’s music so we might give another one of his songs one day.
