If I Fell: 2M views
Posted by Lynn T. Newcomb on 21/10/2020 at 02:33As promised, I’m letting you know that “If I Fell” is 7 to 9 days out from reaching 2 million views on YouTube. I know this isn’t as exciting as going from 6 figures to 7 figures, but it is still a fun milestone.
Since I have all their music downloaded and on CD’s, you might wonder why I bother with YouTube. It’s really very simple: When I have time I like to watch their videos. And even if I don’t have time to watch, I like to put on my playlists with selected songs that I change from time to time.
I have one particular playlist that I call “MonaLisa Twins – Age Progression. Beatles Covers”. Which is exactly that. Fourteens Beatles’ covers starting when they were 13 and working up through the years to 25.
Does anyone else have any “themed” playlists?

Thanks Lynn,
It is getting close 1,984,685. Have you ever planned on watching your car’s odometer turn over, and then missed it by that much because you were distracted?
This video is great. I love the scenes of the walking around the city. They look so at home. The twin harmony really shines on this one.
Twintastic, that is really what I think.

Lynn that is great news that If I Fell is approaching 2M views. As JP said, If I Fell is a great video and love MLTs rich harmonies.
When I discovered MLT I created a small youtube playlist called San Francisco consisting of San Francisco, California Dreaming, The Wide Wide Land, Morning Has Broken, and MLT On German ZDF TV show episode and shared it with all my siblings. I thought it would be meaningful for our big family San Francisco trip back in 2004.
Interestingly, in Youtube if I do a string search “Mona Lisa Twins”, it presents a “Mix” of MLT songs in a playlist that I often enjoy. I assume Youtube uses it’s analytics to see a history of MLT videos I accessed, and puts together a playlist and presents it. It sometimes throws in an odd Beatles or similar song. There must be some logic in Youtube’s algorithm as sometimes the selection of MLT songs are pretty good and I enjoy them. It’s a nice surprise list of songs to let youtube auto play. Sometimes I save the youtube playlist if I like the selection of videos.

1,986,402 – 1,984,685 = 1,717 yesterday minus today equals seventeen hundred seventeen views

Thanks, JP. Yes, I do keep an eye on my odometer. I’m currently coming up on 55555. I remember once rolling one over from 99999 to 00000. Today, cars have 6 digits and I’ve yet to make it to 200000, let alone 999999.
Jung, I’ve noticed that if I start an MLT playlist and it reaches the end, YouTube will keep playing other MLT videos until I realize my playlist ended.

JP, here’s a look at the odometer reading in my ’97 Honda CRV the day I sold it back in 2015. Palindromic numbers are among my favorites.

Nice Lynn,
I am a Civic fan. My fifth and sixth one currently have 140k. Previous ones went well over 200k. We are going to get a CRV next time.
Autoplay on YouTube is great. It’s like mtv2.0

Lynn,
Thanks for this update, and I am like you all, i have a play list of the Mona Lisa Twins and play it everyday at some point. I do love this song If I fell and this is along one of the songs that brought me to the MLT and as I Always say, I never looked back. Their Music inspires me and makes me know that hey in this crazy world we live in right now, they are saying come along for the ride and let the NO WORRYS COMPANY Do the rest!!

I don’t know when “If I Fell” passed up “I Saw Her Standing There”, but up until a week ago it was steadily increasing it’s lead. Suddenly ISHST started getting more daily views. Currently at 1,996,632, IIF should reach 2M within 42 hours. ISHST (1,961,391) looks to be 18 to 21 days out.

IIF – 1,997,291
ISHST – 1,962,015
This is great. There is so much to see in IIF, it kinda demands to be watched again. I love all the scenes superimposed over each other.

1,999,232. I may have to let this one happen without me. It could be very early in the morning in the middle of the U.S. I’ll get up at 6 A.M. CDT (11 A.M UTC (GMT)) to see if I missed it.

1999875. Sometimes there’s a surge for that last 1000, sometimes not. The last 100 may go quick, though.
