Years before he took over Jeopardy, Alex Trebek hosted my favorite game show from my childhood: High Rollers. The big payoff opportunity at the end involved a fascinating combination of luck, strategy, and pure arithmetic:

Yes, indeed, quite sad by the news, in fact, he went to university in Ottawa ( my hometown, where I’m from)…He was certainly proud of being Canadian and even had mentioned Ottawa on Jeopardy a few times over the years. I wrote a poem to dedicate to Alex the other day , my way of expressing my sadness RIP Alex indeed, gonna miss you????????????

Hi Joe… I’m sorry but I don’t feel it’s appropriate for me to post a non-MLT poem on here, after all, I like to stick to MLT related stuff on here, keep it related, as such…However, if you’re on social media: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Follow /add me as a friend and I can then Private message you the link for it. I hope you understand my decline to not post it . Thankyou.

Hi Jacki,
You are right about posting non MLT info. That’s fine.
Myself, IÂ keep my life on the private side and do not have an account with Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. I am not a social media person. That just me. But thanks anyway. I respect your decision. Have a good one.
Joe

Joe, Alex Trebek certainly was a household figure for so many decades, sad to hear of his passing. They showed on the news when he announced his cancer on the program a year or so ago. It takes so much courage to face something like that.  I remember watching Jeapordy in the day. I actually did not know he was Canadian, heck there are a lot of celebrities that I did not know were Canadian. 🙂
