To continue the celebrations of 10 Million YouTube hits, we made another video! Last week we asked you lovely people for your questions and got a whole lot of feedback. We debated doing a Q & A video but decided to answer in a different way this time and sat down with an interviewer.
In this video we talk about our journey so far and give you a little bit of a backstory on how we ended up where we are today, covering many of the topics we got questions about. The ones that have been with us on this ride for longer will be more familiar with a lot of it but hopefully there is something new for everyone.
We raided our archives once again for old footage and found some fun stuff which we included in the video. It was a great way even for us to look back on our lives.
THANKS to you for watching…. TEN MILLION TIMES. You are legends!
Hope you’re all having a lazy Sunday afternoon,
Mona & Lisa

I think this video sold me on the MonaLisa Twins. I had watched some of the Cavern Club videos and a few of the others and liked them and then I watched this interview. I’ve watched it a few times and always smile listening to the story of your journey. As someone commented on YouTube. It is impossible to watch this and not fall in love with these two girls. Their personalities shine so bright you can’t help but cheer for them and want to support them. And for Rudi and Michaela to believe in their children so much as to move the entire operation to a different country in support of their talents and ambitions is just amazing. What’s even more amazing is their vision to stay independant which gives them the freedom to keep expanding and moving forward and seeking new adventures and creating new music and videos. An amazing story that I feel fortunate to witness. Many thanks to the Wagner family.

I just watched this video again and it gave me goosebumbs several times. I agree with all of what you wrote. The support from their parents, moving to Liverpool and dogged determination (not to mention incredible talent) have got them where they are. 100 gigs at the Caveran Club was also probably very defining for them. I believe “now” that it was “Questionable” that made me a fan of them. I had watched a few MLT covers and really enjoyed them. I think it was the first original of theirs I watched…and watch it I did…probably 50 times at least. Everything about that video is suberb. Creative, clever, fun, great filming, staging, make-up, costumes, playing and singing. They have done such an outstanding job of bringing the sounds of the 60’s and early 70’s into the music they write. This interview definitley captures their spirit. I am so glad that they have forged their own path because we wouldn’t have what we have today if they had done it another way!! Thanks for sharing this.

Hi Dave, thanks for the reply.
I like watching the early clips of this whole story. I also still watch documentaries of The Beatles early years. So glad The Twins have it all captured in pictures and videos. Another of the early videos I like is the Proud Mary video from their first concert with Rudi and Michaela. Not just because I’m a CCR fan and like that they did the original version and not the Tina Turner cover which you might expect from teenage girls. It’s just the way Lisa is absolutely beaming with joy and I think a lot of pride from pulling off a great live show. It is one of the last songs on the setlist and it’s like all the pressure from the hours of practicing and planning were finally released and allowed them all just to have fun. Anyways, it’s a great story and I’m happy that I get to enjoy it.
I recently watched that show and it is amazing how accomplished the girls were already. Would love to see Mona on the drums more.
