Crawling out from under a Rock
In the intro to a new video the comment was “Unless you’ve been hidden under a rock – you know who Tommy Emmanuel is”. Sorry to say I didn’t until it was discussed her a few weeks ago. If you haven’t seen it yet, there is a wonderful video of one of the most spectacular guitar players posted on Christmas. What a great gift to us all!  It is of a Bluegrass festival about a year and a half ago. Pretty amazing individual. If you haven’t seen it yet, it is at:

Hey John ,  Tommy Emmanuel is one of the best guitarist ever. He as good as Jimi Hendrix.
He even did a version of Purple Haze. I saw him about 5 years ago. The best acoustic players ever. My favorite cd by him is Accomplice One. He plays with various artists.

John, like you I never knew about Tommy Emmanuel until I heard about him here. I feel I was pretty musically ignorant before I discovered MLT.
Joe, yeah Tommy Emmanuel to me is a classical version of Jimi Hendrix. His technical prowess look to be on par with Hendrix. I wonder what Jimi would think of Tommy if he was alive.

Yeppers, count me too, as in, having no clue about Tommy Emmanuel either until it was discussed here or somewheres by other MLT fans or Team MLT themselves….
