Places I Remember
Hello, everyone, from Virginia, USA.
I grew up in a musical house with a father and mother who introduced my twin brother and me to the Beatles around the time Anthology 3 hit. We had our own little Beatlemania in the 90s–I switched from the violin to the guitar, and he went from piano to the drums. We spent a lot of our pre-teen and teen years learning Beatles songs, briefly played together in a band, and then went our separate ways in adulthood. I always looked fondly on those days, and it was the closest we ever were. I’ll always have a special place in my heart for twins who make music and compose together.
I lost him on a cold January afternoon a few years ago. The MLT covers and originals make me think of him. To me, they’re bittersweet and joyous, comforting and sad, and leave me longing for the years we should have had, yet grateful for the times we did share–they cover all the feelings that beautiful music should evoke.

Thankyou for your intro, though I’m sorry to hear that you lost your twin brother awhile ago, but happy you have fond memories of the two of you in younger days of your lives , and I can see how MLT relates to you so very much so. Welcome to one of the koolest places in the world. It sounds like you had a great musical connection with your brother. I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you can find some peace here. There is a lot of positive energy in this forum. MLT fans are awesome.

I am in upstate NY. Woke up to 6*F this morning. I can’t remember who said this,”A brave man faces the storm head on, but a wise man knows when to come in out of the rain.” It sounds like a good day for inside activities accompanied by good music.

Mona and Lisa’s music has made such a big difference in my life with all the ups and downs. They are a rare precious gem indeed. -

Thank you so much for that message, we are incredibly sad to hear about your twin brother’s passing and can’t even begin to imagine how that must feel like. We are sure he’s still with you in one way or another ♥To know that you had those years together making music and playing in a band is precious and we know how special that is. The fact that the Beatles made you drop the violin and piano for guitar and drums made us chuckle.
