I just found the performance from the young Mona and Lisa and really enjoyed it. Has anyone seen it on radio interviews? I remember listening to Falco on the radio when I was a teenager. i think it is cool that Rudi produced a lot of his music. I loved the big smiles when you got applause. I think that was the same concert when Mona got a big applause after her drum solo during ‘Ain’t no sunshine’. I’ve been having so much fun digging into all the cool things in the MLT Club. I know the 80’s sucked. Once again, thank you Mona and Lisa for bringing back amazing music. I previously mentioned that you are the best act/group/duo in the 21st century. I respect the way your family in running the business independently. I plan to help support your endeavors.

Welcome Diana, and enjoyed reading your post. I love their 2007 concert album and all the videos. It became my favourite travel album as I’ve been up to Skagway Alaska, down the westocast to Baja California Mexico on cruises, and along many miles of mountain highway drives with it through Northern British Columbia. It’s just amazing the diversity into different genres Mona and Lisa did on that album. At age 13, Mona and Lisa hit the music world running and saying “hey we can play anything our heart desires” and boy can they! They were brilliant right out of the box! Some of my faves on that album are Der Kommissar, Aufstehn, Back to Life, Stand By Me, Samba Pa Ti, Alone…just to name a few. Falco was huge in Canada early 80s I remember. Der Kommissar and Rock Me Amadeus I think were some of the finest tunes from those times.

      Hi Jung,

Thanks for your reply. WOW!!! I see your name all the time and can see you are a huge fan. I am too. Next year I’m going to be 59 on 2-22-22. My ideal way to celebrate this day would be to arrange an intimate VIP concert with the girls. I would spend an obscene amount of money to make that happen. Of course, my crazy plan is two-fold. 1. Do something really cool on 2-22-22 and 2. Support their endeavors as independent musicians. I doubt that would happen, but it sure would be amazing.

    Hey Diana,

That concert is totally awesome. One standout track for me would be Wonderful Tonight. It is my favorite Clapton song and they, again, made it their own. It’s fun looking around here.
I call it a Rock & Roll dream in real time.

Rudi and Michaela are the koolest parents in the world. Oh, and have you seen the skydiving video in the Out & About section.? It’s way kool. The soundtrack is perfect. Big screen, volume eleven, replay.

When someone mentions the eighties, doesn’t it seem like it was just a little while ago?

      Hey Johnnypee,

Thanks for your reply. It’s scary how time flies, That is why I always try to “seize the day”. I graduated from high school in 1981 and can’t believe it’s been 40 freakin years. One thing I love about MLT is that they’ve sparked that same passion I felt for music when I was a teenager.

I did see that skydiving video. I thought it was so sweet how Mona was hoping that Lisa didn’t die (since the adventure was her idea)

I also love Eric Clapton. My favorite song is ‘Cocaine’

Hope to chat with you again,
      Diana

    Hi Diana,

I graduated in 81 too, can’t believe that was so long ago. Two of my closest friends I still hang out with when I can are from high school. Your next year birthday sounds like it will be something special with all those 2s! Mine is just over a week after yours on the 2nd of March. I look forward to that hoping this last year or so of insanity will be behind us. Your birthday plans for next year sound awesome. Jacki and I here represent the Canadian chapter of the MLT Club, Jacki in Ottawa and myself in Vancouver.

Awesome to meet you Diana, glad you joined us at the Club 🙂

      Jung,

If for some crazy way, I can make this happen. You will be invited. Just for the hell of it, I’m going to e-mail Michaela to see if it is even possible. I know…..dream, dream, dream.
