Hi Bill, I echo your sentiments this Mothers Day 2021 exactly, thanks for posting this. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mom’s out there, you epitomize what love is.

I came across this phrase and it has a magical meaning: “Home is where my mom is”
I always felt that with my mom, even when it was a lonely care home bed when I use to visit her towards the end. It felt like being home, when I was with her, no matter where it was.

    Beautiful Post Jung,
Same with me, towards the end my mom also was laid up in a care home and remember sitting and holding her hand and talking about the good times. A friend once told me, embrace the moment, don’t hold back and tell your parents how much they mean to you and I did and thank god each day we had our talk and told her and my dad how I loved them. Mine was a bit complicated, My biologial mom had me at an early age and my grand mother raised me and my mother passed at the age of 38 so my grand mother made sure to watch over me and she passed in 2001 so I was blessed with 2 ( mom’s ) filled with love and support.

Thanks Bill, and thanks for sharing your story of your mom and grand mother. Wise words for sure about not holding back about expressing love for your parents.

I’ve heard the expression how life can be fleeting, but when you make the effort to make special moments with people you love, and those become your fondest memories, then those moments become forever.
