Aging But Not Getting Old
I had a bit of a long day today, so my best wishes for your birthday come pretty much at the end of it. Apologies for that, but I’m fairly certain there was some sort of specialty involved. Regarding that, I recall a quote of indeterminate origin: “It’s not the years in your life that count, but the life in your years.” Applied to you as I reflect on my brief association with MLT I have to say you two are simply crushing it, with more stuff packed into your experience than people two and three times your age, or so the mirror tells me. Oh, yeah, the question: On your birthday, do you have a traditional anything you do or is it more customized to the year? And Happy Birthday, plus one!

Our birthday was wonderful – filled with lots of food, presents and quality time.
We love that quote and try to live by it as best as we can. I feel like with each passing year we are more aware of how quick a day can go by and with it the opportunities for new experiences. Time is precious.We don’t really have many traditions when it comes to birthdays, other than that we get to choose exactly what kind of food we’re having haha. We went for sushi this year and ever since moving to the UK our “birthday cake” has turned into sticky toffee pudding 🙂

Of course he can afford not growing up.
