    I was older.

I was nine months old then. But I generally don’t “feel old” about an event unless it’s one that I can remember. There are a bunch of fiftieth anniversaries coming up in the next few years that should do the trick.

Let me see, 1966? I was 3.5 years old. I remember my brother use to push me around the block in a green pedal car I use to have. That was a long time ago! 🙂

Hmm, 1966? That would put me at fifteen months old. Wow, so far we are all pretty close in age.

    I don’t feel old, I just am.

I saw a great meme the other day. It said,”Why is it that I can remember the lyrics to hundreds of eighties songs, but I can’t remember why I came came into this room?”

I like that, JP. To be honest, I don’t really feel old, either. Most days I feel more like 35! Mentally I sometimes regress to 15.???? Just seems like Revolver and other classic LPs shouldn’t be over half a century old. Especially as fresh as they still feel. Maybe the fact that the twins keep producing great music with the same feel helps keep these classics feeling more current.

So in 1966 I was 15 years old. Do I win something?

      Michael,

I think you should at least get a t-shirt after all that. ????

Michael, you do win something! My sincere respect! I sure enjoy the interaction with all you other clubbers! At my first job out of high school, there was an established automatic response to anyone who desired recognition for a job well done. Everyone would good-naturedly chime in “Waddya want, a Bozo button?”

A Survivor’s button seems in order.

I might deserve a little credit too. We will all deserve more credit soon.

    Everyone stay strong.

I would love a t-shirt (XL) or a Bozo button but I will take all your well wished and respect! Stay groovy everyone!

Are you sure this is not the old persons club!!!!!! LOL. We are not old, we are just getting better!!! I am right behind you Michael in age. I had just gotten my first Stella guitar the year before and then a Silvertone guitar with amp in the case. But you know what? I try to remain positive each day so laughter is the key. The Twins give me a lot of laughter and I enjoy reading everything you folks write. But the best thing about this Club is the Music, the Twins and the camaraderie among everyone here. Happy Birthday Revolver and stay Groovy People!!!!!

Well put, Walter. I share your sentiments about the club, the music, and the Wagner family. I notice also that our basic generation is very well represented here. I wish for the twins’ sake more younger people would take notice and join us. We have some, but it seems it’s difficult to win over more from younger age groups. Possibly because of the way the modern world practically force-feeds today’s mass-produced, watered-down “music” to us all. I’m sure there is still good new stuff out there, but it seems rarer all the time, and I sure don’t want to start a debate about what qualifies.

    Paraphrasing Jimmy Buffett,

everyone make sure to die while we’re living rather than live while we’re dead.

    Cheers

I was 3.5 years old and excited to play with my newborn baby brother (born just 1 month before the album came out). It took a while to discover the Beatles. My parents thought they were a bunch of crazy hippies and all we had were show tunes like Camelot, My Fair Lady……and The Sound of Music.
