Summer Rain Guitar
I was really struck by how beautifully the fingerpicking emulates raindrops. Was that part of the song from the beginning, or did it get added later in the writing process?
Also, the hard-panning of the guitars is a really daring choice that absolutely pays off.

Somewhere along the writing process we did sketch out the intro but it wasn’t until we had already recorded the basics, that we figured out the details about the intro and played around with different approaches, picking patterns, arpeggios etc.
We did want to emulate the feeling of rain so we’re glad that it worked 🙂 -

Song writing is brilliant Lisa. Whether intentional or not, like the Beatles you’ve mastered the music theory for creating such wonderful effects for feelings and emotions. Such a wonderfully crafted song.
