At 80 Paul McCartney still has it, he sounds and looks so good! Music keeps you young.

Here is Paul singing the Beatles Happy Birthday song at a June 16 concert, so a fitting birthday week happy 28th to Mona and Lisa again, from Paul McCartney.

I never knew of this Paul McCartney song before MLT did it in their Duo Session. It is so beautiful and elegant how Mona and Lisa played it, I get goosebumps, love it. The singing and guitar work is magic. There’s that familiar Hofner bass.

Listening to this song, I can’t help but feel we only get better as we age like fine aged wine and a well played broken in guitar.

    Hi Jung,

I may have heard the Paul McCartney song somewhere once, but I never consciously noticed it. Thanks for posting the MLT-Version.

I find it very admirable when musicians like Paul are still active at this age. Ringo should be around 82 years old now (his birthday is at the beginning of July). I think he stopped simply getting older at a certain age. A remarkable quality.

    Here’s a b-day present for Paul, from a relative of a friend:

Thanks for the videos Jurgen, and David. Ringo looks so healthy and active at 82, and a great inspiring song. That Sean Lennon video dedicated to Paul for his birthday is so heartwarming, coming from John’s son.

I remember in my teens when I first heard the Beatles the music was so magical, and through their music they painted a wonderful world of possibilities and dreams of what my life can have in the future. All that joy, love, passion. They’ve been there, all my life really, and as I look down the barrel of the big Six O next year and wonder what the future holds in my senior years, the Beatles (Ringo and Paul) continue to inspire by being so active and living life to the fullest, showing me life is full of magic and possibilities right to the very end, you are never too old! The same sentiment would apply equally for me with the Beach Boys as Brian Wilson despite his challenges still tours and creates music today and remains active. I started running again, thanks to Mona and Lisa and their marathon video and advocating fitness and feeling alive through their music.

Great artists inspire to no end through their music/art and everything they do. I’m so lucky to have such legends to look up to, artists who have had such a big impact on my life, ie Beach Boys, Beatles, Mona and Lisa, and Beethoven (I had to throw Beethoven in there hahaha!) ????
