So I went for a walk today……
Hello everyone! I know I have touched on this subject before but wanted to expand on it a bit. I did post about the wonderful voices Mona and Lisa have, so today I took my head set with me that my son got me for Fathers day and it has blue tooth so I can link into my phone. So I dial up U Tube and of course put on my favorite Twins….LOL..And with a head set on? You get such a clear sound of how wonderful Mona and Lisa sound. So hearing the music on my car CD System and home system is great but listening with a head set on? OMG Such lovely sounds and how they blend so well together is a work of art to me. I heard Count on Me, Star man, 2 of us, While my guitar gently weeps , Both Sides now, Wish you were here , Saw her standing there, Sunshine Superman, If I fell, etc….and each song sounds so amazing with a head set on your ears. Oh yea Africa, they did a fabulous job on that one with Lisa on bass. I can’t say it enough everyone, we are blessed to have Mona and Lisa period. The way they sound together is heaven to me. And you can feel their love and support of each other and the love of the music they play, either original music or cover. So you all know that I have XM Radio and I have the Beatles Channel and from time to time they have other groups cover Beatle music and I am sorry there may be a small few that cover for example Joe Coocker but no one and I mean no one is better to cover Beatle Music than Mona and Lisa, they always keep the scope of the song and never take it to where it is not really a cover. Example is Nowhere Man. From Mona’s drumming to Lisa’s perfect lead to the harmony, now that is a great cover of Nowhere Man, and the other song they cover so well and there are so many but Lola. Man Mona does a fantastic job on lead vocals and Lisa and Pa Pa Rudi are just killing it with the lead guitar and bass, and oh yea forgot about Mona on the drums….So if you all get a chance? Put on a head set and listen for yourself, oh yea have tissues ready when you hear Sounds of Silence….Mona and Lisa are hands down the pure and absolute best and second to none!!

Hi Bill, I think I should go get myself some nice headphones and listen to MLT that way too! Yeah Mona and Lisa’s music, their original and covers are the best music going today bar none. And they create their music staying true to their vision as independent artists doing everything themselves under one roof, that is so amazing and special, a labour of love, gift of love to us all, and to the world.

Well put Jung, we are all so blessed to have found Mona and Lisa and the path they are on tells me that they will be around for some time for us to enjoy.

I agree with you. Listening to MLT with earbuds is awesome. The separation between right and left really shines. I have noticed guitars being bounced back and forth along with vocals and other sound effects. Listen to the birthday-gift opening video. Mona left, Lisa right. I also love when their vocals are separated in a lot of their music.
You have a whole new world to listen to. Have you tried Orange with earbuds? It’s delicious! The Future sounds really kool. Check out the guitars on “Once Upon a Time”. Man, I think everything sounds better with earbuds. (almost everything)
Disclaimer: Earbuds are not recommended for use while driving. As tempting as it sounds, too many important sounds will not be heard. Beep beep beep beep yeah!

Yes sir a whole new world for sure. On my walk tomorrow I will do that with the Orange Album. I noticed that in my car Lisa is on the right speaker and Mona is on the left speaker. And yes I did hear guitars bouncing from one side to the other which is so cool. I first learned about Stereo back in 1971 when I bought the Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers Album and my mother had just bought a new STEREO system and I was taken hearing Brown Sugar guitar riff in one speaker and the sax solo on the other speaker and then I heard Can’t you hear me Knocking, wow Keith Richards on one speaker with the riffs and Mick Taylor on the other speaker…So hearing Mona and Lisa with ear buds or head phones truly shows the talent that they have! It is so cool they love and talent that they have!

Ever since I got my hearing aids back in December.,now that’s how surround sound works in action…. to hear MLT with hearing aids, though I still do always have/will use headphones, it just sounds better with headphones ???? …though Hearing Aids just as effective????????????????????

When I use to commute to work, when commuting was a more common thing before covid, I use to listen to MLT with earbuds on the train feeding off my iphone. The clear stereo effect was great. Nowadays it’s off the stereo speakers at home, but the distinction between the left and right track is less than with earbuds.
I remember way back in the 70s, before earbuds were popularized by the Sony Walkman, I use to use my dad’s high end padded headphones, and remember marveling at the high fidelity stereo effect that listening to speakers could not quite replicate like on those headphones. I remember feeling blown away when I listened to Pink Floyd’s the Wish You Were Here vinyl with those headphones, those stereo effects on Shine On You Crazy Diamond followed by Welcome To The Machine were amazing. This was before surround sound THX in the theaters and Star Wars, so it felt like being carried away to another world. I often see pics of Mona and Lisa listening to music through padded head phones too, and I can understand why.
