We are loving Mona’s flute on Why? I remembered Mona’s debut in a Q&A and found it here. I guess now we know Why? was why she had to learn to play the flute. It sounds great on Any Other Day. Is part of it double tracked? Nice.

Hi J.P. Mona also plays a few notes (just a few) at the close of Here, There, and Everywhere. Nothing that could’ve predicted her work on Why? in Any Other Day and Janitor Joe. Unless, of course, Ian Anderson dropped by for an uncredited appearance….

Hi JP. Mona’s flute on Any Other Day is just remarkable, really adds to the impact of the song. It impresses me so much how Mona and Lisa can just learn an instrument for an effect on a song, and can play it so amazingly well. Incredibly talented and yet so modest. I’m glad Mona took up the flute over trying to be a tree, HAHAHA. 😁

I was pleased by Monas acuity on the flute as well. Somehow with all they do during the day she took time to practice! Props!
