  Starman video

  Not sure if this has been brought up before, but at about 3:10 of the Starman video the camera zooms out and pans right. At the end of the rock formation to the girls left appears a wolf’s head jutting out the front end of the rock. Now that I’ve seen it I can’t unsee it.

  I hadn’t noticed that until you pointed it out. I did notice early on at the 0.45 mark Papa Rudi in the frame momentarily. Only years later now that you pointed it out I see it at the 3:10 mark as well. They did a pretty good job concealing it.

  I’m usually good at seeing things like that, especially when someone points them out, but it took my several times before it really looked like a wolf. I mean, it was clear what you were seeing but it looked more to me like a ‘possum or something until I realized that the problem was that I was pausing it. When you just let it play the motion blur makes it look much more wolfy.

  That’s weird, I never noticed it before and I’ve watched this video a lot. You are right JP, once you see it you can’t unsee it.

  That video/cover is a big favorite, and a real treat on the big screen. Like their great cover of “Lazy Sunday” it unexpectedly changed the way I hear the song and deepened my appreciation for it.
