‘Alone’ – First composition?
I just listened to this song for the first time today and was touched by its sensitivity. Was this your first song writing effort? Can you remember when it was first written and performed?

Holy smokes Mona and Lisa! Ive listened to this song on your 2007 Concert CD for over a year noticing just how beautiful and charming it was whenever I got to the end of the album, but had no idea it was one of your originals! I am super pleasantly surprised and also embarrassed too for never noticing that. I guess I just never looked on the back of the CD to see who the artist was. Im surprised there isnt a video on youtube for it. You never cease to amaze me, in a wonderful way, even after a year of listening to every one of your songs. 🙂

Yes, Jung, it was a very pleasant surprise for me too as previously I had only seen the YouTube videos of the 2007 concert and there are about ten songs missing from the video concert. I’m a very recent discoverer of the MLT so have had a lot of research to do over the last couple of months to get up to speed with the MLT dream! It’s just so great to keep discovering these little gems and I love having this club which is turning out to be a real treasure trove of delights.
Mona has enlightened us on the reason there is no DVD of the 2007 concert and now that I know just what is involved in producing what the MLT team do, and how much they give us for free, I realise how important it is that we give something back. But I think I’m preaching to the converted here!

Hi Howard. I totally agree with everything you said, and I think Alone would make a great idea for a future video as its such a delightfully sweet song.

Pheeew, that was so long ago. It was definitely the first song we ever finished that had a “proper” beginning and end. I remember writing songs before but as far as I can recall, they all didn’t really follow any real … structure haha. So we went from one “part” to the next without ever repeating anything 😉 Guess we started off more avant-garde haha
So yes, Alone was the first song with a proper song structure.
