Response to the new Albums!
I won’t go into a lot of detail in response to the new albums as the day is just getting started and I’ve got a number of things on my docket but WOW!!! Did I say WOW!!!!!
All of the tracks are quite enjoyable. Everything works beautifully. I think Hey Bulldog may point out why we huge Beatles fans love that track so much. They somehow transcended even their normal level of exceptionalness on that recording and while the Twins version is excellent…
Time of the Season is the biggest surprise. Quite liked the original but this blows it away! They really got me on the Kinks song- WOW again! Love White room!
Wanna thank Richard for making Baby Mine possible. I wasn’t familiar with it until now but love the Twins more uptempo version of it. I kind of didn’t like what I heard of Make Up Your Mind on the 30 second Amazon version but there’s a reason for whole recordings. Imagine our Twins making a song- singing background and playing all the instruments with John Sebastian! Love the whole version- think it’s wonderful.
Both of the albums are great!! They will get a lot of listens over the next 10 years, starting today! Thanks for the advance copies. And what genius to give them to us in a form where they can’t be sent out to others and negatively impact early sales.

Listening to You Really Got Me and talk about a grand slam home run! Hey, for you British and Aussies- it’s World Series time in the states so pardon my baseball reference. I love BAM 2 but BAM 3 is the best of the three BAM projects to my ears. Morning Has Broken sounds so much better than it did on YouTube. Oh My Goodness! It moves past Cat’s version!! I don’t know if this is just a higher resolution than YouTube but to my ears- it moves into a tie with God Only Knows as my all time MLT song!
World Without Love also sounds much better. Is this just my excitement in having all these great songs? I’m not familiar with the original of Best Years but I love Mona’s vocals and her harmonica is outstanding. They are covering so much ground on this LP!! Love the vibe of this song!
Glass Onion, oh my!! No doubt- this is the best yet!!
Love the guitar solo on Make Up Your Mind and John’s vocals do the job just fine. Time of the Season-Â another home run way out of the park. Very intricate guitar solo- love it!!The background vocals on this are beyond amazing. Top 6 all time by the girls!! Didn’t see this coming.
Love the vocals on Hey Bulldog. One of the few songs where I thought George’s guitar was better than Lisa’s. Not a reflection on Lisa’s guitar at all. George caught lightning in a bottle with Hey Bulldog.
I’m sure the Twins and Rudolf have done something extra with these recordings beyond what was on YouTube because they sound sensational!! Yesterday is awesome!! Thanks for these incredible recordings!-
Great ears, Tim. Yes, we did some re-mixing. Especially on the tracks you mentioned. Mixing for YouTube videos is a slightly different approach than for CD or high quality online streaming. The CD’s are less compressed with more dynamics. Proud to have such keen listeners that appreciate the difference …

We agree Tim….WOW! They’ve rejuvenated our love of our old stack of vinyl LPs. Can’t wait to see the behind-the-scenes making of MLT’s ‘Hey Bulldog’ so we can see who all is doing the quality barking at the end!!! -
I couldn’t resist having a listen to some of the new material on the Volumes 2 & 3. My observations. Hey Bulldog was what I hoped to hear and that’s you guys having as much fun at the end as John and Paul did on the video and playing the same funky style that the Beatles did. I still say it’s one of their most underrated songs and deserved a spot better than on the Yellow Submarine LP.
White Room, well Mona, I could close my eyes and hear Ginger Baker on the drums. You nailed that to perfection in my opinion. I loved how you used your voices for the opening and where it was repeated later. I wondered how you would do that and I think it came off really well.
Time of the Season, I fully expected a Rudi organ solo in the middle but when I heard Lisa I was blown away and it made me wish I could hear her do Jose Feliciano’s version of Light My Fire. You are a fabulous guitarist. In fact, you should check out John Fahey’s The Yellow Princess. Great guitar work and I bet you could play that every bit as good.
You Really Got Me, I always thought the Kink’s middle solo was just something, who was it, Ray Davies, did on the fly and probably could never repeat it. Well you did.
Glass Onion, perfect. Was that Mona on, what was it, a flute? I also wondered what the ending would sound like and no surprise there. If the Beatles could do it, MLT could do it just as well if not better.
The thing that really impresses me is how you nail every last little detail of the songs you cover. Take Hey Bulldog for instance, you added that little “yeah” after Big Man that I think came from Ringo. Most bands doing that song would probably miss that.
The ones I didn’t comment on I didn’t listen to because I want something to look forward to when my parcel shows up. Do I have any complaints with any MLT song that I’ve listened to? Has any of your songs disappointed me? Are there any I don’t want to listen to anymore? The answer to all three questions is a resounding NO. You guys are all I listen to anymore. I think you girls are fabulous and I just wish more of the world knew of you. Heck it took me 10 years to discover you and had it not been for Google Cards, I might still be missing out on the best thing to come along since the Fab 4. I’m doing my part. I’m continually sharing your videos on my FB page in hopes that I can recruit some new fans. And all I can say is those that ignore what I share, well, it’s their loss. I love you guys and you continue to put a smile on my face when I listen to you. But then I should expect that. After all, it is company policy. Thank you for all you do. You’ve made this fan extremely happy. Now if you could find it in your hearts to bless me with my favorite Beatles song, Nowhere Man.

Bus Stop and Two of Us remain my favorite. I already knew most of the songs, I was still happy to see “You Really Got Me” in one of the disc . They nailed Yesterday and I’ll Follow The Sun.
