Private Reply Option
Hi Team
I understood that there was going to be a ‘private reply’ option provided in the Forum and noticed it appearing for a short while. The option is no longer there for me. Has this function been withdrawn?

Yes, it was not what we expected it to be. We thought it would be something like a personal messaging system which it was not and yet made the forum a bit slower. We decided to search for something more appropriate and better performing.

Thank you Rudolf. It will be a good option when you find one that works satisfactorily. The reason I asked is I received an email advice that didn’t match the Forum Topic post it related to. The Topic was “[MonaLisa Twins] Jokes, Puns & Witty Remarks”.
I’m a little concerned that some of our American friends don’t share my Monty Pythonish type humour and may be a little offended by some of my posts, which I think they may be taking the wrong way!

The only option I know for WordPress/bbPress is bbPress Messages https://wordpress.org/plugins/bbp-messages/ but I haven’t tried it. I’ve moved from WordPress to Joomla, and hence use Kunena and UddeIm. I can tell you all about those, but unfortunately it’s been too long since engaging with WordPress.
Howard, I doubt any Beatles fan, that’s also a MLT fan would not be familiar -and enjoy- Python’s antics. Silly walk, fish slapping…
