  Posting Videos

  I’ve been thoroughly enjoying viewing the YouTube music videos that several of us (myself included) have been posting lately.

  I’ve noticed that sometimes the video is embedded in the message, and sometimes there is only a hyperlink to click on.  Does anyone know how to control which of these occurs?  Whenever I copy and paste a link into my messages, the embedded video shows up automatically when I submit it.

  Relatedly, does anyone know whether all these embedded videos (as opposed to just the links) will eventually tax the capacity of this site, or cause it to load slowly, or something along those lines?

  Hi David. For me at least it seems random and sometimes the link won’t even transfer to the post and I have to invent ways of getting around it. I seem to remember a very early post where the MLT Team advised that the site had the capacity to share videos, but not more than one per post. I’m sure Rudolf will let us know if we are adversely taxing the system.

  Hi David,
  Embedding YouTube videos does not tax the capacity of our site, as they get streamed directly from the YouTube servers.
  But we appreciate the consideration, thanks.
