#1 It’s funny that you brought up favourite Christmas Ornament. That question brought back a lot of memories of exactly that – choosing our favourite things to put up on the tree and looking forward to placing them on the prettiest branches every year.
For example, we had one blonde little paper angel with a super cute face that reminded us of the little sister of one of our friends from kindergarten. We called it the “Tamara Angel” named after the sister. It is what inspired the line on “All I Want Christmas To Be” … Small paper angels were waving at me …
So yes, I’d say the “Tamara Angel” would have been my/our favourite little ornaments.

#2 Favourite Christmas Treat? Our grandma (Michaela’s mum) makes heavenly cookies called “Linzeraugen”, a typical Austrian recipe, but uses rosehip jam instead of the usual redcurrant or apricot jam. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. She even sends them to the UK every Christmas 🙂

Hi Lisa, Thankyou for replying back with your wonderful replies and you are right… These cookies are mouth drooling to look at, and Ibet there are hummers to taste, no wonder your mouth was tantalizing at that memory…

I must say, since I’m the baker for most of my immediate family, I began a Xmas treat tradition that I still do now, though one year I didn’t and boy did I ever get harped upon for not having it… Lovingly though… And so, since then every year, it’s my fudge, and I always throw in some cookies or squares to have with the fudge but it’s the fudge they all want… Lol…

As for my fave Xmas tree ornaments, I have some but sadly one year one fell off my tree and broke, it was of my all time faves, it was over 45 yrs old at the time…. I miss it still to put on my tree, but I have other faves, just as old and newer ones, the musical ones Dad gave me one year, hold dear to me…. Thankyou for sharing your inspiration for the paper angel tree lyric from “All I Want Christmas To Be”, that made me smile to know that and how it holds dear to you and all. ?

Those Linzeraugen look just heavenly!  The white sprinkling on top look like mini snow flakes!  Makes my mouth water from across the great pond seeing it.
