A Dog poem + Hey Bull Dog
I had a dog once,
but he wasn’t like other dogs.
He liked to climb trees and eat berries
while other dogs played fetch and chewed on bones.
He behaved differently,
and so other dogs didn’t like him.
When I took him to the dog park,
all the other dogs would leave in a hurry,
including the owners.
Go figure?
It wasn’t fair.
He just wanted to be like the other dogs.One day he left and I was sad, but left me memories I would cherish forever.

Anyway that poem was my attempt at humor. I saw this picture of a black bear in a back yard and it gave me a chuckle. Where I live the neighbourhood is only a couple blocks from the forest so seeing black bears running across the street on an evening stroll is not a too uncommon site. Maybe an alien who’s never seen a dog might mistake it for a cute cuddly pet.

I enjoyed that Jung… Now, you have swirling ideas around in my mind to conjure up a dog poem… It was National Puppy Day a few days ago… I grew up with 2 dogs and a demented demonic female cat that gave me dislike and later to find out by means of other cats… Allergic severely to cats… As in eyes swell, wheeze, can’t even be in same room or near them… Some dogs I’m allergic too as well but nothing like the cats….
Let me think and conjure up a dog poem if not tonight, tomorrow… As I’m soon off to bed…

My FurBaby he was… Then became moreso Dad’s companion later on but still /was always mine first…
Th Dog Poem :
” A Bark Unlike Any Other”
Each dog breed is its own
Though there are similarities shown
But certainly no two exactly alike
Some are Quirky
Smart and funny
While others seemed a tad clueless
But give good high paws and kisses
There are dogs of service
Dogs that just are
Then you have The Tuneful Howlers
As Good or Off
Treated and act like they’re a Fur Star
All shapes and sizes
Some have challenges
And surprises
Gifted Far More Than one realizes
Take one look as puppies
But sad when you pick them up to take home
Away from their siblings and Father and Mother
Yes indeed

Special SideNote: Even back then, Corky knew how to work the magic of ORANGE…. Perhaps somehow he was channeling future entities of what would be MLT and their zest 4 ORANGE?!

Enjoyed reading your poem a lot too. So true about dogs. Corky looked like he was just adorable. Max was my first dog, and I learned as much about myself as I did of him raising him. It’s amazing how much you can communicate with animals through just eye contact and facial expressions.
