A Holiday Idea
This is a holiday idea for the MLT Club.
Between the years of 1963 and 1969 The Beatles made a 7-inch record every holiday season for just for their fan club. I am sure these didn’t take much time to make. They were 4-8 minutes in length and consisted of the boys just clowning around, saying thanks to their fans and wishing them a Merry Christmas.
There is not much to these musically. But they are fondly remembered by many Beatles fans. Capitol Records even collected them in a set for sale last year.
Why not expand on this idea for the MLT Club. Possibly a song or two and a holiday greeting posted just for the members.
Mona and Lisa did a great version last year of ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’. It was a wonderful production and one of my favorite MLT videos. But this could be as simple as two acoustic guitars in the living room in front of the fire. Or maybe it’s a still picture montage from the family album set to music. It could be an annual thing for the Club.
Post this as limited access for Club members. Then take it down after the holidays and bank the music for a future holiday CD collection. I would certainly buy that.
