    Dear MonaLisa,
I only recently noticed that you have made friends with Albert Lee.  What a treasure.
I swear ladies the esteemed company you keep. It just never ends. 🙂

For the longest time i never knew that Albert Lee was a Brit –
because he blended in so well with EmmyLou Harris and the
bluegrass gang around Nashville and the Everly Brothers.
I have read that it was Albert Lee who got the Everly Brothers back together.

Ladies you may be familiar with all of this but…

Here he is with his buddy Ricky Skaggs on American Music Shop.  Four minutes.

Here he is with the Everly Brothers at their reunion concert at Royal Albert Hall.
Just let me mention that Crying in the Rain is at the eight minute mark.
This version kind of drags. I like the studio version better.  Four minutes.

Here he is with the EmmyLou Harris Hot Band at THEIR reunion concert at R. A. Hall.
He is introduced, interviewed and sings at the 20 minute mark.  Four minutes.

Here is a quiz for everyone in the MLT club.
Who has the most appearances at Royal Albert Hall with different bands ?
    (It’s more than three)

Albert isn’t just a world-class musician, he’s also one of the most humble guys we ever met. Opening a show for him was such an honour and to get to see him and Hogan’s Heroes playing up a storm is something we’ll never forget.

His fluid, melodic solo-ing and hybrid picking is what guitarists’ dreams are made of 🙂

Love the clips you chose. He’s known for being the amazing guitarist he is but I also love his singing. He’s got so much ease in his voice! Top guy!

Hi Lisa, they way you describe Albert Lee echo exactly how we feel about you and Mona as musicians.  World Class amazing guitarists, singers and songwriters dreams are made of and yet so incredibly humble and modest!  🙂

Well – i’ll answer my own quiz.

Albert Lee has had at least three appearances at R.A. Hall

Everly Bros. reunion, EmmyLou’s Hot Band reunion and Concert for George

Sir Paul has had at least four appearances.

Recently as solo w/ friends, Concert for George, Wings, and that 1st band he was in back in 1964.

Mr. Clapton has a large number of solo dates, Concert for George, Delaney & Bonnie in 1970

and that band he was in back in 1963 (The Yardbirds)

Everybody and his brother was in Concert for George – except George, and John  (:
