Christmas Videos
Hi ladies, hope you’re both keeping well. Now, I know its May but for some reason {Don’t ask} I have been thinking about Christmas videos. You know at Christmas every year one TV channel or another always fills a spare couple of hours’ slot with ‘The Top 297 Xmas Hits of All Tine’, generally hosted by Noddy Holder. If you have watched these programmes, have you noticed that generally it’s a case of ‘Seen one video, seen the lot!’ With a few exceptions, the video is either shot in Canada, Lapland or Scandinavia [ depending on the budget I guess ] and features fields of snow, huskies, reindeer etc. What I think would be a good idea, why not shoot a Christmas video in somewhere like Majorca, in August, by the beach or round a hotel swimming pool, wearing Santa hats if you want. I mentioned this to my late wife Anne some years ago after a 3 1/2 hour MTV programme where all the videos started to look the same [I’m sure during Wham’s video for Last Christmas I could see Mariah Carey shooting her film in the background!!] All Anne said was ‘They’re Christmas Songs, you have to have Winter scenes’ Why??. She didn’t get it at all. I reckon with your sense of humour and irony, this might appeal. Or not. Just an idea, I’ll leave it with you. Andy Xx

Haha! Normally we’d say it’s a bit early for us to start thinking about our Christmas video already but since we’re having some pretty nice weather here, maybe we’ll bring our camera and Santa hats to next week’s grill party. ????

And instead of “chestnuts roasting on an open fire”, it’d be
” S’mores or Marshmallows Roasting On An Open Fire”…????????
