Ever think about covering the Rolling Stones Classic
Winter from the 1973 Goats Head Soup LP?

Hi Bill,
We’ve never considered this song to cover. It’s a cool Stones track! Cool in every sense 😉 Love the playing by Mick Taylor ? It doesn’t jump at me as the kind of song that would suit us but I’ll add it to the long list of potential covers to re-think at a later point.
Stay groovy!

I agree Lisa. There are some wonderful Stones songs suitable for you to cover but although this is a great track, I don’t really think it is the MLT style.

I love this cover by Carla Olson and Mick Taylor

Thanks Lisa and Howard,
Sometimes I get carried away with song selections ….LOL…But hearing the guitar solo and the movement of this song is why I thought it would be a good one to cover. So sorry for steeping out of bounds here….LOL…But I know what ever song you ladies Cover? It will be great and to be honest? I like it better that the original!!!

I don’t think you are stepping out of bounds Bill. It’s a great track and I have no doubt the awesome Lisa would love the opportunity to learn Mick Taylor’s guitar part, if only their were eight days a week, and two sets of MonaLisa Twins!
Nice version David. I haven’t heard this one before. Thanks for sharing.

Because, I’m somewhat more familiar with Beatles stuff as to Stones and prefer Beatles over Stones, I admit that I have no idea what you ‘re all talking about as I had never heard this song in question before…lol…so I’ll just enjoy reading you continual input…lol

Jacki,
Point taken my friend, but if you do get a chance? Pull Winter up and like Lisa said, listen to the lead by Mick Taylor, on the thought….another great song The Stones do and no one would believe it Moonlight Mile from Sticky Fingers 1971, the strings at the end of this song is fabulous.
