I was there, but just didn’t realise how awful some of this was.
1970s Flashback – 10 Fads (Part 2)

Thanks for posting these, Howard!
To me, as a kid in the 70’s, all these things were just part of normal reality, as I had no context for discriminating between a passing fad and a permanent part of the culture. No wonder I ended up so warped.
I was happy to see a brief glimpse of my favorite childhood TV show, “The Electric Company”, at the end of each video, with Rita Moreno as the little girl with the cotton candy, and Morgan Freeman as the disc jockey.

A very English Christmas in the Seventies

Seventies technology was so cool! A pity about some of that square music though.

Speaking of a 70’s passing fad and quickly becoming so uncool, none more so than KC and the Sunshine Band:

Well Jung… I’m going have to disagree with you about your opinion of KC & Sunshine being uncool…. In my view, they are one of the very few bands/music of the 70s I enjoyed listening/dancing/singing along to as a kid, and one of rare fond memories of the 70s that still make smile today, if I happen to hear their stuff stuff on radio, I’ll still sing/dance/listen to, so for you to say they were cool and then not isn’t entirely true. At least not for everyone, I’m proof of that notion. Once more, it’s really about personal song preferences one has really.
Just because one does not like something doesn’t necessarily mean that all will agree on that, also everyone ‘s perceptions vary and interpretes things differently and that’s how misconceptions/misunderstandings transpire. That’ s my 2 cents worth on this particular topic for today??

Words fail me! I don’t think these boots were made for walking, but hey, it was the seventies!
