Correction there Joe.
Written in Rishikesh during the Beatles’ trip to India in early 1968, ”Dear Prudence” was inspired by actress Mia Farrow’s sister, Prudence Farrow,

Apparently the Clingers were a pretty big deal at one point, Jung. Check out this headline from 1964:

Perhaps there was a bit of a female fab 4 sensation going for them in 1964 like a female version of the Beatles. It seems their fame was short lived as there isn’t much info about them I could find even on Wikipedia.

I always liked this song. The video reminds me of the desert around Palm Springs California in the Coachella valley. Spent a lot of time around there years ago.
-
I tried to find two that came to mind. One I thought of a couple days ago that had been talked about recently – “Snoopy and The Red Baron”
One kind of embarrasses me. Should have been first in my mind or maybe second behind “I Don’t Know Birds That Well” and that is “Pretty Flamingo.” They did such an incredible job with that song. So beautiful. If someone mentioned it and I did not see that, sorry.

From what I can tell, the Clingers’ fame came primarily from their appearances on TV variety shows (Danny Kaye, Glen Campbell, the Smothers Brothers), and they never found much success on the music charts.

Another good one David. As Mona and Lisa say in their Black Bird video
See you later…Alligator

John, holy smokes, how can we forget the Pretty Flamingo cover by MLT. And also an entire Pink Floyd album Animals that Lynn mentioned. These covid isolation days must be getting to me. -
John, I can’t get enough of Snoopy with the red scarf, green cap, and goggles perched on his dog house, too cute. I know Christmas is a long way off, but the video has a nice message for all seasons.

Haven’t seen Snoopy and The Red Baron for a long time! Used to love Snoopy. I had a little dog we thought was a Beagle only he had few of the Beagle features. We just thought he was a Heinz – 57 varieties. Years later I found out he was a Basenji. He was my buddy, just like Charlie and Snoopy. He had a doghouse just like Snoopy’s but it didn’t fly or have weapons. Now I have a black lab named Lucy. I guess the next will have to be Charlie or Linus. I think Lucy will be around for a while though. She’s a smart dog – she loves MLT songs.

I love your dog’s name Lucy, John. If I ever get another cat, I might name it Wooly Bully, but it would have to look big and furry!

Good morning Howard.
Hey of the top of my head, I knew it was a Farrow but had the wrong relation. So it was her sister. Well any who Lennon wrote the song because when all of the went on holiday to see the
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Prudence only came out twice the time she was there. Story goes the Yogi had the hots for her.. Just kidding.. Poor Ringo had to bring cans of Heinz pork and beans. He didn’t like the India food.
