When I hear Lorne Greene’s voice I think of two things:  Battlestar Galactica and Alpo dog food.

To this day I’ve never watched Bonanza, thanks to a traumatic (or so it seemed at the time) early childhood experience of a babysitter insisting on watching Bonanza during the sacred Sesame Street time slot.
