When I hear Lorne Greene’s voice I think of two things:Â Battlestar Galactica and Alpo dog food.
To this day I’ve never watched Bonanza, thanks to a traumatic (or so it seemed at the time) early childhood experience of a babysitter insisting on watching Bonanza during the sacred Sesame Street time slot.

Jacki, I did not know he was Canadian . Learned something.. Did you see the Ringo cartoon,
Just click the link for some reason it did not have a picture. But if you click link it takes you there. Its the one above your entry.

Here’s another song called Ringo that I’m sure Jacki knows:

And it’s consistent with the animal theme of this topic.

Yes, David, of course I know it, I have the CD with that song on it??

Continuing my free associating, that Snoopy vs. the Red Baron song always makes me think of this one for some reason:

Must say I preferred the Flesh Gordon movie myself. Now that was laugh out loud funny!

Yep, got a mention in David Herrick’s list. Pretty Flamingo – Manfred Mann.

Howard , Who are the other two guys. I never heard this song until today. Interesting.

Joe, The Big 3 was an American folk trio consisting of singer Cass Elliot (1941–1974), singer-songwriter-banjo player Tim Rose (1940–2002), and singer-guitarist Jim Hendricks (b. 1940).
-
It wasn’t publicized, but at the time Cass was married to Jim Hendricks.
-
Another Jim Hendricks but spelled different. Thanks Howard .
