    Wild mustang horse 1

Their spirit and creativity is free as a wild Stallion
Their music is unbridled, never conforming
    Their style, their expression
    Always their own, never wavering

    In the darkness and cloud
A brilliant light in the musical firmament shine
Great music from the past have touched their soul
Such magnificent music and beautiful harmony abound in them

No boundaries, no distractions will hold them back
For music and art is their calling
So sublime and joyful their songs are
    So many souls they move

A truly virtuous musical journey they embarked on since young
So much of themselves they’ve given to their cause
So much better the world is for it
So lucky we are to be along for the ride

    MLT forever

Just for fun if I was going to choose a majestic animal to serve as a symbol for MLT, it would be the wild Mustang Stallion. Not just because the Mustang is my favorite car that I drove for 26 years, and the fact Mona and Lisa love horses, but because it represents to me everything in my mind that MLT represents in music:

Freedom, individuality, and unbridled creative free spirit that cannot be confined to status quo.

The wild Mustang ornament Ford adorns every Mustang, runs to the left for a reason.
Race horses run around the race track counter-clockwise, so from the stands they always run to the right per the rules of horse racing. The Mustang runs in the opposite direction to the left representing their wild free nature.

Interesting…never thought about that.  I enjoyed a 1970 Mach1 for a few years…sold it when I went overseas when in the Marine Corps…Semper Fi to all you Marines in the MLT Club!  Great poem….true, so true.  Roger

Thanks Roger.  Mona and Lisa mentioned they loved horses, so it was the inspiration for the theme in the poem, and of course Jacki too.  A 70s Mach 1, nice!  Those were still awesome muscle cars before the demise later in the 70s.

Thank you for your service Roger and keeping us all safe!
