Hey Joe, those videos were awesome.  thumbup  Was never big on Kid Rock, but his song is great.  And wow the who is is stellar, was exhilarating seeing Roger Daltry running and doing somersaults!  Remember that one by Tom Petty very well.  Thanks for sharing them.

David, thanks for the list of additional songs, enjoying them all!

    Hey Jung,

Glad you enjoyed them. The one with Daltrey  is from the movie Tommy.

I like Kid Rock when he does R&R. He is really multi talented. He also does country music, which he does really well. I don’t like when he does rap. Never liked that music myself.

You mentioned Please Release me by Elvis and what a great choice. He does that song so well and Engelbert Humperdick did it in 1967 and Elvis did it in the Las Vegas Shows in 1969 and 1970. This is one great example of an artist doing a cover and making it their own. I feel The Mona Lisa Twins do this exactly  and in some cases I feel is better that the original. So this ties in with the theme of free I think. That The MLT are free to cover great songs and do them so well.

You’re right about that citation, Bill.  (And everything else!)  Usually I check my sources to make sure I’m crediting the original version.  It turns out Please Release Me was written in 1949, and recorded by at least ten different artists before E. H. got to it.  So yeah, that song got its wish and was released plenty of times.  Oh, and the actual title is just Release Me.
