You know, I don’t know if everyone would want this but I do. What if you were to have a video like some sites have on Musicians and their gear and they go to their Strats, amps, pedals telling us all about them? Thanks, Walt Music

Thanks Dan that was really good talk about their instruments. Do you happen to know what Mona has her right foot on, its red, has a stomp box or maybe effects pedal on it. I have never see one quite like that. Thanks again.

Apologies; I added a couple of links to “Ask the Monalisa Twins” answers where they directly discussed some of their gear, and I forgot that adding multiple links in a post might trigger moderation.

In brief, if you’re talking about the “Sound of Silence” video, you might be asking about the Wazinator Stompbox.

As for pedals, here are some things Lisa has posted:

I’d rather try to avoid effects pedals, because most of the time I like the raw, unmodified sound of my guitars better. For most live situations I just use a Vox Tonelab ST effects pedal for nothing more than a little compression, reverb and volume control and then go straight into a Vox AC30.

Live we both normally just go into a Vox “Tonelab” Pedal for a little bit of compression, chorus and occasionally some other effects like “wah” or more drive. I found it to be one of the few effect pedals that don’t affect the dynamics and original sound of my guitars too much.

We basically use the same things we do live in the studio too. We also sometimes play around with amp simulations and different digital effects. Whatever it takes to get the best sound for each song.

Thanks Dan and Lisa, I thought it was just a piece of plywood with something on it, which I guess it is but now I

know. I usually just use a Line 6 Pod 2.0 that I’ve had for 20 year but with cleaner sounds and a little compression and chorus especially with my 12 string. Thanks, it was driving me crazy. Walt Music
