Jacki, I thought we went over this last year. Halloween, Thanksgiving and then Christmas. 🤓☕️
Happy Thanksgiving! Have a wonderful weekend, and remember Thanksgiving is a free-for-all, no diets, no healthy choices, if if tastes good, enjoy. (ahem..that is, all in good moderation)

Haha, my local Walmart has all their Christmas stuff out already, geez. I haven’t even bought Halloween treats yet. Anyways I wish a Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends I have met thanks to this fantastic place called the MLT Club!!

Haha to both JP & Tim on their replies …GobbleHalloweenMerryXmas ….🙃🦃🎃🎄

Thanks, and Happy Thanksgiving to you Jacki, have an awesome long weekend. Celebrating my little sis birthday this weekend too, so a double celebration. It’s strange having two long weekends in a row, Truth and Reconciliation Day last weekend, and Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend. Ain’t complaining.

Wishing your sister a Happy Birthday, enjoy your Thanksgiving Wknd 🎉🎊🦃🎂

Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canadians in the Club.
That’s making me hungry.
I wonder why I never thought about just doing Thanksgiving twice per year before?
Do you put maple syrup on your turkey?
-
I don’t think I’ve heard of that being done before but perhaps ,I’m sure it does happen , it’s traditional turkey as far as my family does it with also a basted cooked ham with the cranberry sauce, veggies….etc .I made my fudge that I ususally only do up at the family Xmas dinner but decided to do up a special batch for Thanksgiving…. 🦃🇨🇦🍁🤘🏻✌️

Thanks Jacki,
I actually asked Google what’s typical on the menu for a Canadian Thanksgiving, and that’s where I saw maple syrup on turkey. I love maple syrup, but I had never heard of that either.
Sounds like your menu is pretty similar to what I grew up with, except, we never had fudge!

Happy Thanksgiving Jacki!
Even though I’m of Celtic ancestry I have a penchant for Ukranian food for festive occasions, cones from growing up in a region that has a strong Ukranian population.
I make “studnetz” (pan headcheese) often, and right after Friday’s WOTT session I hit the kitchen and fired up a batch for today’s dinner at the sister-in-law’s place in the city. My late mother-in-law loved it and we always tried to outdo each other with our recipes. She always said mine needed more garlic!🤣
Bon appetite everyone, hope to see you all in a week’s time on the live broadcast!

Thankyou All…had my family Thanksgiving on Saturday…I contributed to the meal of brining fudge I made ( I usually only make this fudge for Xmas but thought it would be nice to do for Thanksgiving )… It was a lively meal and got to bring home a ” care-doggy bag ” pkg for my supper tonight …. the fudge stayed at my oldest brother’s place…it will be eaten up , what’s left of it…lol …. 🍁🇨🇦🦃🤘🏻😁

To Chris Weber …
Hmmmm interesting how Google came up with that description for a Canadian Thanksgiving typical meal… ( either someone out there assumed/presumed that’s how Canadians celebrate it, , which is fine, but in a way incorrect, but also in sense has/had no real knowledge of Canadian culture and just assumed/presumed “maple syrup ” factor because it’s associated with Canada ) …it kind of made me chuckle …. but to be fair, as Canada is diverse in culture, therefore perhaps, Canadian Thanjsgiving can be celebrated by/ however way, but usually it’s turkey, potatoes, gravy, stuffing, cranberries, ham, pumpkin/apple pie, typically… etc…)
Also reminds me of how many in throughout the world think Toronto is the capital city of Canada, when it is in fact Ottawa … For each province of Canada, there is a main capital city for that particular province but Canada as a whole, it’s Ottawa ( formerly known as ” Bytown ” away back when ) … There’s the new thing learned for today …. 😁🍁🇨🇦🦃🤘🏻

Happy Thanksgiving, Canadians!
I posted this video a couple of years ago, but we’ve gained some new faces since then:

Lol…Hopefully no one is/gets offended by this link… I ‘m not…it’s Frikkin Funny .. and since I celebrated with Family on Saturday ….how am I celebrating the Canadian Thanksgiving Monday holiday ?! …. why, but of course in a Tim Hortons having my English Breakfast Tea , EH ?! 🦃🇨🇦🍁🫖☕️🇬🇧 … and No, I cannot eat anything from Tim’s because of my nut allergies, as son food items have nuts and obviously there’s a highly good assurance certainty cross-contamination factor involved so, I bring my own treats … ( a Nut free Kit Kat choco bar- made in Canada in a dedicated Nut/Peanut Free facility and/or a homemade cookie/teabiscuit that I made ) to enjoy my tea with ) …
