At the stroke of midnight

They come fully alive

Their moment of waiting to emerge

Does arrive

Spooking and haunting

Yet BOOtiful

And sense of humour a tad wicked and macbre

But in good fun

To concur

Each one when perhaps vengeful

The evil reigns free

As to which offers more sinisterism

Well that’s key

To the ongoing mystery

The answer

While remains to be fully  seen

The love of this day they have

As we have all witnessed  true

The Soul and Spirit

Captured in  exquisite costumes

And makeup

To offer not a mundane transformation shakeup

No in between

Only indeed
