  • How far back has your ancestry been traced?

Of course, you and your parents are quite focused on your careers and your present lives.  As we age, we become more curious about our ancestors and where we came from.  Has anyone in your paternal and maternal families traced your roots back several generations, for example?  Most Europeans and Americans have quite a mix and not from just one nation.  Would you ever have your ancestry DNA tested?  It would be fun and enlightening to know just how Austrian you really are.  I have always known I was half Polish, but in 2016 I discovered I am 1/3 British and I had no clue about that before!  The DNA thing also relates to Steve Crider’s question if you are identical twins.  Thanks ladies!

That’s a fascinating topic and we’d love to get our DNA tested at some point. I don’t really know if anyone in our family has done much genealogy on our “bloodline”. It’s definitely going to be more challenging tracing back us “Wagners” as it is pretty much the German equivalent to “Smith” or “Jones”. Let’s just say there are plenty of us 🙂

There are some quite unique surnames on Michaela’s side of the family though and they have been able to find distant relatives all over the planet. Fascinating stuff! Maybe something we will look into more at another point in our lives.

Thank you for your reply Lisa!  I love this MLT CLUB that you and Mona and your parents have crafted, and I never plan to leave!

Yes, I’m not talking so much about tracing the Wagner family tree back generations and generations.  That takes an enormous amount of time and dedicated effort.  You simply can’t do that right now with your lives and careers.  I am speaking of just a simple DNA test that shows the combined nations that produced your father and your birth mother.  You and Mona would have the very same regions of course, but your % of DNA from each region might have a little variance.  It all depends on the distribution of DNA that each parent contributed to each of you.  The test is very easily and quick and takes about 5 minutes and a little saliva, and then you just mail it in and wait a few weeks for the result.  They run about $70 or so, and if you and Mona want to do it, I would buy the kits as my gift to you.  I would just want to spend $200 or less for the both of you and then ask you to publish the results here on your website.  The invitation from me is open anytime you would want to do it.  No hurries and no worries!  If you do not wish to do it, Itso Right and Itso Kay; lol! Check out this site and let me know here or via e-mail if you have any questions.  https://www.top10bestdnatesting.com/
