How to Edit comment on an MLT posting…..?!
Posted by Jacki Hopper on 21/05/2019 at 01:01I posted a comment under the new MLT posting about Radio Shows & etc and then decided I’d like to change a few things and was going to edit… But I don’t see an Edit option… How can one edit comment posting or it’s not doable… I know you can Edit in Forum Postings… Help?! Please and Thankyou.

Hi Jacki. If you hover over the “time remaining” text just below the orange reply button, you can get the edit button. I think you have about 24 hours to edit something.

Hi Jung… Tried that… It Worked and Thankyou… I didn’t know about that… The hidden Edit option… Unlike on Forum Comment where you can see Edit option on MLT posting comments I didn’t know you had to hover over Time Remaining to find it… I was looking for it like I do in Forum Comments… Lol… Now I know and learned something new… I’m not that TechSmart Minded…. Appreciate your help!

You welcome Jacki. ?I am a grammar correction perfectionist or at least try to be and constantly go back to correct things to a fault so use the edit button a lot.

Good effort Jacki and Jung. I consider myself to be a grammar correction perfectionist too Jung, but unlike you, I’m not so expert on the tech, so I tend to check my comments very carefully before posting, so I don’t have to use the edit function. If you do find any clangers from me though, I don’t mind you calling me out.
I try to pick up grammar/spelling/typos that I find anywhere in the Club but have only been able to find three or four very minor typos since the Club went live, due to the usual perfectionism of the MLT team. For a family for whom English is a second language, their grammar, spelling and English comprehension is extremely impressive.

Howard, interestingly when I hand write, I tend to have fewer grammatical errors. Maybe because subconsciously I know it would be harder to correct a mistake I try harder to get it right the first time. Mona and Lisa are very eloquent, both written and verbal. Always impressed with how well spoken they are in those live interviews. Have you had a chance to ink your Lamy? ?

Been very busy so haven’t had a chance to practice with my Lamy yet. I’ll get around to it eventually. The shop I bought it from are currently offering a 30% discount so I’ll have to get back there to pick up my ‘Mona’ Lamy.
Regarding Lisa and Mona’s eloquence, I find it impossible to find fault with them in anything. Hard to believe they’re human like us really. I’m sure they must be aliens from a far more advanced planet than ours.

Hi Howard, yes the gifted MLT are indeed out of this world!
Would love to see both Mona and Lisa color Lamy’s side by side when you get the other one. If you’re interested Lamy do make a variety of nib types for their pens. A 1.1 mm Italic nib with flat end would give some groovy line variation. The nibs are easily interchangeable (with a little scotch tape to pull them off) on these pens and they sell them individually for a few dollars. Just some ideas. ?
