Dang, JP, what did you put in that fudge? I was expecting the classic Supreme recipe.

Here’s a taste of the groovy type of fudge I consumed as a kid:

Hi JP, that is certainly the most psychedelic and energy filled version of the song I’ve heard. The lead singer wears a cool scarf! They must have had a following to make it onto the Ed Sullivan show.

That’s funny, David. Was that a kid’s show?

Jung, I think they were more of a cover band. They were very good. They put out five albums. I saw an interview where the drummer, Carmine Appice, said there was a trend on Long Island where bands were turning covers of pop songs into heavy psychedelic songs. Carmine also played with Rod Stewart and a number of others over the years, including a Pink Floyd track – “Dogs of War”

I am no fudge aficionado, I found these fun fudge facts on Wikipedia.

JP, yes, the Hot Fudge Show was a Saturday morning kids’ show in the mid-70’s, and as far as I can tell I’m the only person who ever watched it and survived with the memory intact. It actually wasn’t very good, but it aired locally at 7 AM before any of the other channels started showing cartoons, so it had no competition.
