I'm OK after the major Wind Thunderstorm that struck in Ottawa area on Wknd !
Just letting All know that I’m safe and sound following a devastating and apparently what the meteorologists are referring to having occured over the wknd ( Saturday ) in Ottawa & surrounding area and throughout Ontario, some parts of USA as a ” drecheo” !? ( I think was the term they used, new word for me)…It might as well been a Tornado in my mind…. The damage it caused locally, surrounding areas are more devastating than the Ice Storm of 1998 , and the 2018 Tornado that hit my area, in terms of Hydro outages… so many power lines /poles knocked down on major roads, some cars literally abandoned because poles and wires stren/smashed down on those cars,, trees that hit houses, etc…. not good, and some folks still indefinitely remain without power …

Hi Jacki, glad you got through that storm unscathed and you are OK. The weather is getting more and more crazy every year across Canada. Stay safe.
A “drecheo” eh! We’re getting new weather phenomenon all the time. We had a “heat dome” last year with unheard of temps in the low 40C, Palm Springs weather. 25C was considered a heat wave around here, but 40C!
