Judith Durham, what a voice!
Hello again everyone, I have just been revisiting my collection of Seekers music and I had almost forgot what a great singer Judith Durham was/is! Every word she sings is so clear and precise. Actually, I think the Seekers were a really talented band but her voice was the icing on the cake in my opinion. It is a pity there were no really good composers amongst them, they had to rely on other songwriters for material. If I had to vote for favourite female vocalist ever, Judith would get mine.

I’ll be the first to agree with you, Graham. I’ve made no secret of my admiration for Judith on these forums.
Bruce Woodley was a decent composer, though. He wrote several songs for the group, and most notably co-wrote Red Rubber Ball with Paul Simon.

Hello David, Yeah, I realise that Bruce used to compose as did Judith (Colours of my Life) etc but not enough to make great albums and put them up there with the “big boys”.
