Hitchhiker’s Guide is a funny short read. If I remember correctly, it is a trilogy with four books. I read them a gazillion years ago. Like Michael said, “Always carry a towel.”
Fun fact, Douglas Adams was a friend of David Gilmour’s.
I hope I see you all at the Restaurant At The End Of The Universe
Mostly harmless,

I thought this was going to go all Monty Python and instead it went Hitchhikers Guide! I’ll just say that Music isn’t just the meaning, it is life.

Is this from a movie, Jung? I’ve heard the song many times on the radio, but I don’t recognize the visual.

Hi David. That clip is from my favourite 90s TV series, Northern Exposure. It was an episode where one of the characters, Chris the DJ loses his best friend to death, portrayed by the singer, and Chris ponders the meaning of life, and his friend appears in his dream and tells him, “its the music man!”. That joy and passion music can bring. Whenever the topic of “meaning of life” come up, I always remember that scene, some how captures some truth.
That classic Bob Seger song, “Old Time Rock and Roll”, was immortalized as well by Tom Cruise in this famous scene from the 1983 film Risky Business. Oh to be 20 again!

Ah, okay, thanks. You’ve mentioned that show before; I should check it out. I didn’t really watch any episodic shows in the 90’s other than the Simpsons.
Here’s one more take on the meaning of life, from God himself (sort of). The relevant portion ends at 3:02.

Yup, ” Life Is a Highway”…lol… as is ” This Is Your Life ” by Glass Tiger, and many others I could go on listing…lol… I think if we all took snippets from many aspects that would lend a hand to our own unique views of the Definition of Life, that to me, would be effective, I believe.????
