Most Difficult Songs

For an original song, I’d probably pick “I Wanna Kiss You”. It’s got what feels like a gazillion chord changes and little fills that, whenever we played it live, took quite some time to memorise and make it seem effortless. At the same time it’s got lots of interwoven harmonies which all in all makes it tough to sound tight when performing it on stage.

It’s songs like that which sound rather simple when recorded and that are fun to work on in the studio but become a pain to do live 😉

As for covers, “Time Of The Season” comes to mind with its solo and long outro. I tried to adapt Rod Argent’s organ solo to guitar which was a VERY fun but quite a difficult challenge.

Wow!!!!  I never would have picked those just by listening to them.  But, sometimes something that sounds easy turns into complex.

In your Time Of The Season Lisa, the adaptation of the organ with your guitar was well worth it!  That Spanish classical guitar sound adds such a wonderful effect to the song.  The same with your acoustic version of Sweet Lorraine, the guitar run in place of the horns is just awesome.  Love the brilliant guitar arrangements on both.

Lisa, your adaption of intertwined guitar leads on “Time Of The Season” remains not only my favorite of all your guitar work but one of my favorite guitar pieces of all time!  It is absolutely brilliant! I never tire of listening to it. It truly made your cover better than the original and that, of course, is saying a lot!
