Hey Jung, Great video of Blue Angels. I remember seeing them twice when I was a kid. Always enjoyed their shows. A good one .

    Hi Joe

It’s amazing how the Blue Angels can make you forget everything while your spirit soars with them for a moment, like how great music can do that too!  I remember a couple of months ago at the height of the pandemic the Air Force fly overs, over many US cities to honor the front line health care workers.  That was so awesome and spirit lifting for everyone.  In Vancouver the Canadian Snow Birds did the same.

We have a big annual airshow in August, Abbotsford Airshow (cancelled this year),  I’ve been to a few times over the years, and the Blue Angels and Snow Birds were always my favourite of the show.  I remember once a lone F18 flying low snuck up out of nowhere, and flew by supersonic while everyone was looking the other direction.  Wow!!!  What a sonic boom!

That was beautiful Joe.  Some of the scenes with the vapour trail as they make those patterns in the sky is like a painting being made in the sky!  Thanks for sharing it.

Snowbirds are awesome, but was sad to hear of the tragedy that took one of their own during an airshow a day or two after performing in Ottawa recently…. they are embraced  on Canada Day flying over Parliament  Hill during  the Noontime Show on the Hill.

    Hey Jacki,

How are you. I saw that when I was looking for a video on them. Sad.

Hey Joe, that Supertramp video is great!  I thought it was a still image at first.  I think their albums are some of the greatest epic works.  Songs of theirs like Fools Overture are monumental.  One of my favorite songs of theirs is Give A Little Bit.

Hey Jung, The cd Even in the Quietest Moment is their best album. Breakfast in America a close second. I saw Supertramp at Madison Square Garden and they were great. They put on a fantastic  show.  They were really good live.  Fool’s Overture another great song. Thanks for posting my friend.

Hi Joe.  Even In The Quietest Moments is such an incredible album.  I use to listen to that all the time along with Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here.  I was really lucky to have a brother with a good record collection growing up.   🙂

So my 2 cents here on song of the day? Darlin by the Beach Boys. 1968….a great tune for sure. Not played to much on the radio which is sad to me. Anyone else like this tune??

Hi Bill, yeah Darlin is a great lesser known gem.  Appeared on the Beach Boys Wild Honey album, one of their psychedelic albums.  I Was Made To Love Her, and As The Wind Blows are other great songs I like on that album.

Hi there! I believe that Darlin’ was originally going to be released by a band Brian was producing at the time called Redwood (later to become Three Dog Night) until Mike jumped in!
