I once found an entire album by Napoleon XIV (pictured in the attached video).  All the “songs” were based on the same psycho schtick.  This is the only other one that I really liked:

You’ve heard of a Woolgoose, but have you heard of a Woolly Bully?

Well, when I was a kid there was this sheep at school who used to make me give him my lunch money or he’d bleat me up.  (Sorry…)

Wooly Bully always conjured up in my mind an image of a hairy tabby cat like this one.  I wasn’t too far off.

      Wooly Bully 2

“Wooly Bully” is a popular song originally recorded by novelty rock ‘n’ roll band Sam the Sham … According to Sam: “The name of my cat was ‘Wooly Bully’, so I started from there.

Here’s one that peaked at #8 on the Canadian Charts in July 1973. Don’t think many outside of Canada ever heard it.

Hi Dana: Being a Canadian myself, you’ve made me think of other Canadian perhaps one hit wonders of the past: Terry & Susan Jacks, The Raes,  and I’m sure there’s others and yes, I do recall hearing this song on the radio… I was a wee youngster around the time…. Lol

    Hi Jacki.

Here’s some others from (Canadian) memory lane…

James Leroy & Denim- Touch of Magic (1974) Not a one hit wonder as had a couple of others but is a forgotten classic.

    And one more “forgotten classic”-

Frank Mills- Love Me Love Me Love (1972)

Didn’t miss your post Jacki. I included it as I remembered it from a much earlier topic. I had a copy of a Sam The Sham single in the sixties and if I find a YouTube video, I will post it in an appropriate topic.

Well Jacki, I didn’t realise there was a Susan Jacks but Terry could certainly qualify as a one hit wonder. I remember his hit well!
