David, that was a fun video with Paul McCartney and Linda. Paul is like a stunt driver standing up while driving with a big truck encroaching from behind. Thanks for posting.
Tom, yeah Mona and Lisa look like movie stars there. What a cool MG.

A True Muscle Car.

Though I don’t drive as I never got my driver’s license, still not interested in doing so…I do love Born To Be Wild, Black Leather Trousers and Motorcycle Boots, Little Old Lady from Pasadena, Leader of the Pack, Highway 101 !? ( Highway Hot Rod album song–if I have wrong highway # in song title my apologies), Convoy, most Hotrod songs, Little Douce Coupe…etc…

Jacki, some good ones mentioned. Was it Route 66 you were referencing?
Here is a good version by the Stones.

Joe, that Mustang Sally video had some hot mustangs! I’m partial to the red mustangs, as the last one I had was a laser red mustang GT 2002. Those GTOs are nice too! My brother had a Cutlass 442 with the Hurst shifter and massive engine, and I’ve been in it a few times and it was a monster.
Love this funny mustang commercial. Kind of reminds me of when I sold mine.

Very nice one David! Classic Lincoln vs Cadillac! Ford vs Chevy, Mustang vs Camaro. The classic rivalry.
Here is a quintessential Beach Boys car song, one of my faves. You could interchange car with anything you love here, guitar for example. Beach Boys drummer Dennis Wilson does the lead vocal honours here.

Good Mustang commercial Jung, You had mustang GT 2002.
Way back in 1969 I owned a 1965 GTO All Black. I wish I still had it.

That’s an interesting one, Jacki. I had never heard it, and I tend to find songs like that. How did you first come across it?

Here, came across this:

That’s a very comprehensive list, Jacki. And there are links to top 100’s in lots of other categories, which would be fun to browse.
I discovered #10 just a couple of years ago, and couldn’t get it out of my head for weeks thanks to this video. Now it’s going to haunt me all over again, so I’m going to drag you down with me:

I once in awhile in sumnertime, pre Covid, would happen to be on a bus either going by or into a mall parking lot as part of its route, on a particular night of the week, to discover it was “Cruise Hot Rod Classics Night” where a certain number of hot rod classic enthusiasts would gather to show off their hot rod pride and joys, and I gather a open donation would be offered to go towards a local charity, etc but not sure of that part… The last Cruise Hot Rod Night I actually went to, was a Tim Hortons parking lot beside the bowling alley place I bowled at a year or two ago in the summer when I decided to go have a tea there, it happened to be cruise night, I took a few pix ….( sadly due to Covid, my Bowling Season is canceled and future seasons until a vaccine is available) and so were the Cruise Nights around , because of Covid…
