Opening Song
Hello everyone and got a little pole for you all….so if and when the Mona Lisa Twins go back out live again , what song do you think they should open with? My gut feeling is Drive My Car live the live album but I think it would be cool if they opened with No Worry Company off the Orange Album and along with that song maybe Pa Rudi and Michella can join on that song. So what are you thoughts ??

Hi Bill, Great Poll idea…. and I’m going with “Club 27″ as opener to get everyone full on #MLTBuzzLuvGroovified and the set list to be varied with mix of slow/fast songs of both originals and covers… Maybe even surprise all of us by performing something none of were expecting but received with utmost standing ovation and I think ” Still A Friend of Mine ” would make for the perfect closing song, to mellow us all out after an exhilarating concert experience, to which I would love to have them to an MLT Club Meet n Greet… ah, one can dream….This is my dream….????✌

That’s a great topic, Bill! My first instinct would be for them to open with When We’re Together. That song has a real “hello and welcome” vibe, which is probably why it ended up as the first track on their first original album.

An interesting subject. With my band I try t have all sets open and close with up tempo songs, infuse energy. That being said I have often wondered how it would sound if the Twins did some classic Shadows songs, Apache for example or Cliff’s The Young Ones. Either would sure get the crowds attention. I have also wondered how Lisa would sound doing Jackie Deshannon’s When You Walk In The Room. Of course the ladies have recieved hundreds if not thousands of suggestions from all of us so who knows what they will do. But whatever they do, it will be excellant.

Hi Bill. When MLT return to the stage, I think “Club 27” as mentioned by Jacki would be a good idea, as it would enable them to blow the roof off the venue right from the start with the howling guitar riff from Lisa’s Duo Jet. 🙂 Just as important would be, what song to end the set on to leave a lasting impression. Perhaps “Sweet Lorraine” or “I Bought Myself a Politician”. People might not leave though as the demand for more encores continue. But this could all change depending what comes down the pipe on the new album.
