The opening track “The Future”, and song “It’s Alright” really underscores a message of hope for humanity in the future that appears as one of the themes that arcs across the album. It’s such a positive and uplifting feeling I get after I listen to the whole album, and one of the qualities of the album that draws me back to it again and again.

    It’s Alright

“You seem to go for things you cannot get

Which often leads to heartache and regret

    Just keep on keepin’ on

And know one day the right things come along

I know one day the right things come along

    It’s alright, it’s alright, it’s okay

If there’s a will there is a way

    It’s alright, it’s alright, it’s okay

    You will be just fine

    It’s okay, alright, it’s alright”

Wow! So inspiring and uplifting. Where does this come from?

    On Orange:

MonaLisa Twins Orange album reminds me of the great iconic rock albums Pet Sounds, Rubber Soul, Revolver, and Sargent Peppers, that is rich in artistry and thematic unity throughout. The songs on the album all work together like they belong together. The Beach Boys Brian Wilson said of the Beatles ground breaking album “Rubber Soul, I said how could they possibly make an album where the songs all sound like they come from the same place?” Orange has that kind of artistry and unity.

MonaLisa Twins “Orange” is an album about the future, full of hope, and humanity that resonates throughout the album. There is so much diversity in the music from track to track, each one with rich vocals and beautiful harmonies, superb guitar work, and inspired lyrics, that leave you wanting more. It is a brilliant masterpiece, the entire album written by the incredibly talented and beautiful twin sisters Mona and Lisa Wagner and their father Rudolf Wagner.

Mona and Lisa are all about the art in their music, relying solely on their remarkable singing and musicianship talent, and song writing brilliance. They are the real deal. Their music touches so many souls, bringing incredible joy around the world, enriching lives everywhere. Their influences are the Beatles and many of the great rock and roll legends from the 60s, and their own music takes the best from the past infused with a modern sound and style all their own. Mona and Lisa align with the Beatles motto of “never repeating themselves” always innovating, and that is evident in the progression of their music from their first album “When We’re Together”, and Orange, and their next third album to be released later this year, looks to be incredible. Their new song yet to be released to the general public “Jump Ship” is to die for.

It’s Alright isn’t one of the most frequently discussed Orange songs, but the lyrics are a powerful statement about the importance of following your own path in life despite pressure to conform, and that’s a message we need to hear more.

I also enjoy picturing my old high school English teacher cringing at the spelling of the title!

Hi David. The lyrics on all the songs on Orange are all so inspired and says a lot about the human experience. No More Worries Company, It’s Alright, In It For Love, That’s Life are orange juice for the soul. I wish I heard these songs in high school, would have helped me out a lot then, such nuggets of divine wisdom. You’re already groovy and lovable, you don’t have to prove anything.

I think I first learned the lesson of It’s Alright from Mr. Rogers when I was very young. He ended each show by saying, “You always make each day a special day. And you know how? By just your being you. There’s only one person in the whole world exactly like you. And that’s you yourself, and I like you.”

    Jung and David,

Great posts! This album from the 1st track to the last is arranged perfectly. When I listen I have to go from track 1 to Still a friend of mine. Every song follows the one before in perfect order. The song writing to the lyrics, guitar, drums, strings etc…are on spot. I agree Jung Pet Sounds and Rubber Soul come to mind and that to me is telling me how far and the great talent Mona and Lisa have to perfect such a wonderful album. Can you imagine the new one when it is complete? Kind of reminds me of Rumors from Fleetwood Mac and the follow up Tusk, they took their time and it paid off and I am sure this is the same with Mona and Lisa. I Have always said in the past that anything Mona and Lisa work on is worth the wait. Orange is a great example of those words. This album is on my play each at least 2 or 3 times a week. I am so happy I found these talented ladies. And to further your point Jung, it is an album for the ages and beyond to me. The future is bright and again Mona and Lisa are saying ( in so many words ) come with us to a groovy place and it will be ALRIGHT!

Hi Bill, I also had that album “Rumours” by Fleetwood Mac, who didn’t if you were into good music. “Orange” is indeed timeless and shares all the qualities of those great albums mentioned here. I remember the first time I heard the album, and soon as “The Future” came on, I knew this was just some ordinary album of a collection of 10 disparate songs, but a work of art. The Future set a premise, and every song that followed had a purpose, whether intentional or not, they belong together, and you can’t just listen to one song, you have to listen to the whole album right through.
