OK, I take it back. I said it was “one of the most beautiful bikes I’ve ever seen.” Nope. It is THE most beautiful bike I’ve ever seen. Performance figures are pretty amazing too. Checking it out tomorrow.

Organise yourself a test ride John. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. I imagine you’d prefer the off road version. The Ducati Multistrada hss been the class leader for me, but it’s a 1200 cc job. Unbelievable acceleration but a little heavier with a seat height that doesn’t suit me at my age. The Tiger comes with an optional lower seat version which makes a big difference for me. I’m 177 cm or 5’9.5 “. I think the Tiger is the perfect fit for the multipurpose ride it was built for. Let me know how you go.

Well… If ever I won the lottery, you can be damn sure I’d be getting a customized Purple Harley D…. With Fuschia Pink decor accents in perhaps forms of roses and music notes and treble clefs……. Same idea for a car…. I’d just drive around on my huge estate complete with an authentic schoolhouse I would have purchased and had moved to my estate where it would be my creative hub place to enjoy all creative things I enjoy dabbling in…. Yes, I ‘m a Harley Gal… Vrrroooommm Rev it Up…. I may not like riding motorcycles after that bad incident but that never stopped me from living and enjoying those Harleys…..

That’s a magnificent bike Howard! It must ride like a powerful beast on the highways, and it’s size I am sure keeps it very stable and comfortable at those high cruising speeds. I can just imagine the pleasure of having MLT ” songs like In It For Love, Count on Me, and Sweet Lorraine, etc piping through your helmet headphones while you blaze through the Australian countryside on your Moto Guzzi California! Watch out for those adorable kangaroos who might peak out to see what that cool motorcycle rumble is as you approach.

Howdy all.
Sweet rides all! Howard, my brother rides Triumphs. He has a Tiger, while his wife rides a Bonneville. My dream bike is a 1948-1953 Indian Chieftain, fully dressed!
Here’s a picture of my current car, a Knuckle White 2017 Dodge Challenger R/T. 5.7L Hemi rated at 375 HP and 405 ft-lb torque! She’s a true hot rod, and I drive it like it is too! I’m hoping to trade it in for a 2020 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack with the 6.4L Hemi in February.

Here’s a picture of my previous car – a Granite 2014 Dodge Charger R/T, also with the 5.7L Hemi. I loved this car… but I really wanted the Challenger!

Always loved and admired MOPAR muscle Paul with their incomparable hemispherical cylinder heads (HEMI). The 2014 Charger and 2017 SRT Challenger look just awesome! I remember seeing those Dodge Super B’s as a kid, looking like just out of this world. The Charger and Challengers were certainly the best of the best muscle cars. I think MOPAR these days hold the crown for the most powerful street legal cars in the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat at 797 HP and the 2018 Demon that puts out 840 HP. Holy smokes, those were HP specs of NASCAR not too long ago. I’m glad I never was challenged by a Challenger at a red light in my 02 Mustang GT!

Bathurst 1000: Mustangs keep the old Ford flag flying.
For all you bogan, petrolheads in North America, today is our annual “Bathurst 1,000” and this year, Mustangs are the favourites for poll position.
From Wikipedia:
“The Bathurst 1000 is a 1,000-kilometre (620 mi) touring car race held annually on the Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia. It is currently run as a championship event for Supercars.
Widely regarded as the pinnacle of motorsport in Australia, the Bathurst 1000 is colloquially known as The Great Race among motorsport fans and media. The race concept originated with the 1960 Armstrong 500 at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, before being relocated to Bathurst in 1963 and continuing there in every year since. The race was traditionally run on the Labour Day long weekend in New South Wales, in early October. Since 2001, the race is run on the weekend after the long weekend, normally the second weekend in October.
Race winners are presented with the Peter Brock Trophy. This trophy was introduced at the 2006 race to commemorate the death of Peter Brock. Brock is the most successful driver in the history of the race, winning the event nine times, and was also known as one of the most popular and fan-friendly drivers during his long career. He was given the moniker “King of the Mountain” for these reasons.”

Always like seeing the Mustangs do well on the racetracks! Thanks for sharing. The modern Mustangs are so much more refined as good all around performers, not just straight line muscle cars of previous generations. I have a video of cruising in my 02 Mustang GT I wii have to dig up.

I’m currently staying in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales where wifi has many black spots. During the trip from Brisbane we encountered many bikes on their annual pilgrimage to Phillip Island for the Australian Moto GP. Thousands of bikers camp there for the three day event. A Moto Guzzi Club mate was traveling with me to Bilpin in the Blue Mountains on his way to his thirteenth annual Phillip Island Moto GP event.
On our way to a cafe stop in the mountains my mate took on a GT Falcon that had overtaken us at one point. He also had a duel with a beautiful matt black Indian motorcycle at one stage. I let them go ahead on the many tight twisties on the mountain road!
My black MG California is on the left and his red MG Eldorado is on the right.

Looks like great times Howard! The two bikes sitting side by side look impressive. Enjoy and safe trip.

We were joined by another Moto Guzzi Club mate who left his home in Imbil Queensland and travelled more than eleven hundred kilometres on his special edition, 90th anniversary Moto Guzzi California (limited edition with only seven imported into Australia). He joined us at the Kurrajong Heights Hotel after travelling all day!

After sleeping over night at my Bilpin accommodation, my Moto Guzzi Club mates have continued with their journey to Phillip Island (over another 1,000 km away), while I remain at my Bilpin house sit minding three dogs and a cat while their owner trips around India for the next three weeks. The Moto GP is a big deal and includes a Ball and the Barry Sheene Tribute Ride. This is a ride of 266 km under police escort from Bairnsdale to Phillip Island and finishes with a circuit of the Grand Prix Circuit.
“The 2019 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season is the 71st F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season.
After fifteen rounds of the championship, Marc Márquez successfully defended his Rider’s Championship taking his sixth premier class title, having won ten races. Last season’s championship runner-up Andrea Dovizioso is in second for Ducati with two wins and Álex Rins on a Suzuki is in third with two wins. Danilo Petrucci and Maverick Viñales with one win are the other race winners, both Rins and Petrucci winning their first races during the season. Márquez secured the Rider’s title after winning the Thailand Grand Prix. In spite of Márquez’ sizeable championship margin, six races, namely Qatar, Italy, Austria, Britain, San Marino and Thailand were decided with last-lap passes, the season having plenty of close racing.”
