Post Thanksgiving
Hello everyone and was wanted to see how everyone’s Thanksgiving was? Mine was great, when I first met my wife every Sunday and holiday we gathered together and as the years went by and people growing up and busy lives and loved ones passing on that has gone to the way side also Covid has a part in it but this year? We had 23 people at our house for dinner and dessert. I had tears in my eyes as I said grace and was beautiful to see that things are starting to get back to a normal life. And seeing everyone gathered thru out the house and down stairs in front of the fireplace and sharing stories and beverages and just being together was so nice to witness. So that is my story and hope you all had a chance to relax and enjoy. So as we move into the Christmas season, we are hoping to get everyone back together for Christmas Eve.

23 people? Holy cow!
This year my wife and I did something different for Thanksgiving. Instead of visiting relatives, we drove 4.5 hours to Charleston, South Carolina and spent a couple of days just beach walking (too cold to stand still!) and eating and shopping.
We thought we’d have to forego Thanksgiving dinner, but there was a restaurant open right next to our hotel that was serving a special hot sandwich containing turkey, onion straws, mashed potatoes, and cranberry glaze. It was surprisingly good!

Yea house full David for sure but love every minute of it. My wife has a big family and my family has been dwindled down to just a few of us left. But how cool is that what you and your wife did!! My hats off to you my friend. Me and my wife and my son and his fiancé are headed to Charlotte this weekend to catch our Pitt Panther Collage football team take on Wake Forest for the championship in the ACC, So a road trip is in store for us. But thanks for sharing David sounds like you and your wife had a great time.

Bill, David, thanks for sharing your Thanksgiving experiences. Sounds wonderful and heartwarming.
Even though north of the 49th, we had our Thanksgiving back in October, this month of November earlier felt like another Thanksgiving for me. My brother came up for the first time in 2 year since covid from LA given the the relaxing of the border restrictions. He found a nice spacious Air B & B suite for the 2 weeks, so the whole family met up in there in the evenings for nearly all 2 weeks having a blast! The best part was being able to celebrate my Dad’s 94th birthday on the 17th at his care facility. It felt like an answered prayer for me from a year earlier in Nov 2020 when he caught covid and we didn’t think he would make it. I prayed I could spend his next 94th birthday with him because we couldn’t in 2020 due the strict lockdowns in the care homes. So it was very special.
Even got to have a proper traditional turkey dinner on one of the evenings, mounds of sliced turkey and mashed potatoes covered in gravy with plenty of stuffing and cranberry sauce. I think like the stuffing as much as the turkey! ????

Jung, Happy 94th birthday to your dad and sounds like this was meant to be. To be together for his birthday and to share precious time with him. God Bless you and your family Jung. Family is a treasure and to spend time together is special for sure.
