Question About Lisa’s Red Hair
Posted by Michael Jones on 26/01/2020 at 22:08Hi Lisa. I was checking out the pictures from the recent “Private Gig in Vienna” post… and your red hair looks amazing in those photos from 2013. It made me wonder – when did you decide to go with your red hair… and is there a story behind your decision to change your hair color? Please tell us why you chose to go with the red hair that has become your trademark look.
Thanks in advance for responding to my question. It is so nice of you both to take the time to answer questions from your fans. And thanks again for all the wonderful music you have brought to the world.

Hi Michael,
I haven’t really seen much of my natural hair color since I was hmmm … 14 I think? I could trace back the “red” origins to when we were about 12 and both got to dye a little streak of hair after a particular good report card I believe. Part of it was to help our teachers at school be able to tell us apart more easily. If you watch this video and stop at 2:04 you can tell what colour each of us picked 😉 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRZTW2iMkD0
The beginning of Mona – blonde, Lisa – red. From then you could say it got a bit out of hand 😛
I’ve been playing around with different shades etc and recently got back to a bit more of a darker, natural look. Who knows what will come next. As to my reasoning behind choosing red – Nothing besides that I simply like how it looks 🙂

Well I’m not sure what the pet theory is David, but I think ‘The Powerpuff Girls’ might have some connection. What do you think?

Gotta luv Lisa’s reckoning and reasoning of The MLT Hair Orgins.. Hair-larious????♀️

I love all the variations of hair colors over the years both Lisa and Mona’s!

Well if your driving a car, red gets you noticed more than any other color. It also gets you more tickets if you like to live in the fast lane. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
-
Yep and it seems like all other car colors are invisible, e.g., cars pulling out in front of us and switching lanes in front of us. Then I get to practice my vocabulary by coming up with new words or new ways of joining together already known words. Mike.
-
Yes, that’s what I was referring to, Howard. But I think Lisa has shot that idea down now.
-
Mike, if you think you get a hard time driving a red car, you should try riding a motorbike in my country!

Must be something then about red, and cars… … I don’t drive as I don’t have my drivers license, that was my choice not to get it….. Now, if I drove… Any shade of Purple whether in a car/truck, etc… Metallic Purple???????
-
I’m still not sure I agree with you David. They are certainly being very coy about it.
-
Jacki, if you decide to drive one day, I recommend something like this in metallic purple. 🙂

Don’t listen to Jung, Jacki. You don’t need an ugly, environmentally unfriendly muscle car. Do yourself a favour and get a nice electric bicycle. There are many fantastic options available and they are much cheaper than cars and cost next to nothing to run. Oh, and you won’t even need a licence!
-
Yes Jung… I kinda like that car… Except… Lose the stripes… I’d opt for perhaps Lilac flames design or Butterflies alongside music notes and music bars lm???????
Howard… I’d not be keen on motorcycle or scooter… (Refer to previous posting reply somewheres on here where I had mentioned why I don’t care for motorcycles /scooters but give me a tractor… A half ton truck…A Nascar race car, in Purple shades of sorts… I’d be good to Vrooooommmm???⛽??️??
